The pointy end of the season draws ever closer and there is plenty at stake this week! The battle for spots in the five and home finals is heating up along with the relegation battle at the other end of the ladder.

Canningvale v SNESA

Last time SNESA 12.10 82 lost to CV 14.16 100

SNESA pushed the Cougars first time around but have fallen off the pace since. The Cougars are a slick outfit and should be too strong at home.

Manning v Mosman Park

It was Mossies first win of the season and it sure kick started them! They have gone from strength to strength whilst the Rippers have struggled. Big win for Mossies here.

Kenwick v Bassendean

Last time Bassendean 22.15 147 def Kenwick 9.10 64

Big win for the Swans lst time around and probably the Royals worst result of the year. I think Basso will find it harder this time around but should still be too strong.

Quinns v Swan Valley

Last time Swan Valley 10.3 63 def by Quinns 13.25 103

The Valley pushed an inaccurate Quinns first time around but as they have done a few times this year let the margin blow out at the end. Percentage is critical so The Valley will be competetive but it's hard to go past the rampaging Bulls on their home deck.

Warnbro got up in a close one at home in the first round. This is a crucial game in the battle for top three spots and the double chance, I think the Tigers will be too strong at home.

We need to win this one to stay in the 5 with three big games coming up. Last time SNESA pushed us all the way in the GF Rematch. I expect nothing less than a close hard fought game here.

David and Goliath here. Mosman Park will be looking to make amends on last weeks defeat. Manning will fight hard as they try and salvage some pride from this season. Can't see them getting within 100 points though.

Kenwick v Bassendean

The Royals let me down last week when I tipped an upset. The result really just mirrors their season thus far. They push sides but rarely get the four points. But this week brings another chance for them to draw level with Valley and get out of the relegation zone. Bassendean are going along nicely with their forwards kicking big scores. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a close game, but I think Bassendean will win.

Valley matched it with us for two quarters last week and have some slick players through the midfield. Quinns - well their undefeated record speaks for itself. I can't see Valley getting within 10-goals.

GOTR!!! Warnbro got one up on Canning earlier this season, since then Canning have been very consistent and Warnbro have been on a bit of a roller coaster lately. I honestly think Canning will win this one easily and make a statement to the competition.

two slick teams though i think canningvale have the better of it. if canningvales defence can stop SNESA's potent forward line this game could get away from SNESA. should be a close game and i'd expect Canningvale to get up by a reasonable amount

Manning v Mosman Park
Mossie are still ticking along after their early season form kick. manning will not stop trying but i think mosman park will be too strong on the day

Kenwick v Bassendean
games between our two clubs had always been close games until the last round. last year the final game of the season at Mills ended in a draw between the two then basso took the final at jubilee the week after. a slow start really killed us in the last game with basso being up by over 10 goals at halftime. hopefully we have remedied this and can make for another good contest. i see on sporting pulse Ashley Wedding is back playing after that nasty achilles injury he is a very good player and can kick bags if he's fit and firing.

Quinns v Swan Valley
the Quinns crew have taken all in their path but last time they played the valley the game was a lot closer than expected. the valley will be hoping for a similiar game but i can't see them getting over the bulls.

Warnbro started very well against us on the weekend but then became a little fumbly when the pressure was raised in the second half. if they can get a run on i wouldn't be surprised if warnbro have a win but i'm going to tip canning to put the pressure on from the first bounce and come oout comfortable victors
