Seems like the Coolby Umpires are becoming an issue.

There was a fair bit of anger on the E Grade page when Coolbinia vs Noranda.

2 or 3 missing! Lucky bastards!

I think Premiership Hangover is on the money. There has been some times this year when Wanneroo haven't played great footy. Luckily it wasn't against a "good" side so they were able to come back from it. I wouldn't like to see Wanneroo lose at all, but a loss wouldn't be the end of the world. They are 4 games clear on top. Moral is high at the club and people are finally laughing at my jokes. They have record playing numbers, 4 teams inside the top 3 in there respective grades.
In regards to Melville and Kelmscott, i do remember there was some discussion about not being able to be promoted if you do not have a colts team. I'm not sure if this was an official ruling but it's never good for a club if no colts players are coming through to join the senior ranks. The captain of Wanneroos league team is still eligible to play colts along with 6 other guys playing league. So it will be interesting to see. Ill do my write up for this weekend, however after this week, the top5 could be settled.

Anyone in the tops five on their day could win it but Wanneroo sitting 13-0 has to be warm favourite.

Follwoing them Kelmscott-Kingsway-Melville look like they will fight it out for promotion.

On recent results the Rams seem to be in better form in the second half of the season having turned around bad losses to Kingsway and Coolbinia into 80 point wins the second time around. The test for them will be whether they sustain that form over the next 5 weeks and whether there so called lack of depth is tested (2s are sitting 11-2?).

Kingsway bounced back well and would have been glad to get a win against one of the top 2, maintained their 2 game gap on 4th and be in a position to push for a home final week 1.

Leaving Kelmscott, very impressive early on in the year but by the sounds of it the lack of depth is beginging to bite.

Shapes up for a cracker run home for the finals and it is going to get very interesting for relegation given 6 wins not be enough to avoid the drop to C2

Mr M, i could be wrong but I dont believe there is a rule that says you cant be promoted without colts. I know there is some issues that you cant play A Grade without colts but lets be honest, if your club doesnt have the numbers coming through, then there is no need to be playing the higher grades - A & B as the fall will behard when it comes.

As for relegation Cyber its wide open I agree. Thornlie has 1 spot the other one will go to one of Lynwood, Coolbinia and Kingsley. All sides are very close with % so it should just come down to wins and losses. I think 6 wins will be just enough to get you through and alot of it could boild down to round 17 when Lynwood play Coolbinia with Kingsley playing Thornlie and then round 18 when Kingsway play Coolbinia. and Lynwood continue their rivalry with Gosnells.

It will go right to the wire.......

A few big results on the weekend, the battle for relegation is wide open and the battle for 5th on the ladder is as equally wide open.

Mr Mysterious enjoyed a lovely sleep in on Saturday morning. I arrived just in time for the colts game to start. Pretty close colts game. Scores went back and forward in a scrappy game. I noticed that the playing surface was less than acceptable. Sand in the middle of the ground and the goal squares. I heard that the problem areas would be re-turfed throughout the week. ( hopefully he isn't wrong, as I doubt in its current condition it would be fit to host finals.)
A little biff on the 3qrt time siren where some colts players let off some steam. Wanneroo ended up running out winners. Top5 for the colts competition is pretty much set, just a matter of the order now.

It was time to enjoy some hot chips a few beers and settle in for an evening of close football.
The reserves game was a disappointing one for Wanneroo. Never really in the contest all day. Onion Ridge have certainly improved in the past 8 weeks. I'd look forward to a finals match up between these two teams. Probably own spur note was the Onion Ridge coaching staff sledging one of Wanneroo's players. Not sure if that's totally appropriate, however each to their own.

I was looking forward to a night league game. Wanneroo started well in the first quarter kicking a goal in the first minute of the game. It was a very even first quarter with Wanneroo squandering some opportunities. Onion Ridge matched well with Wanneroo and at half time they only trailed the Roo's by 1 point. After disappearing into the club rooms to have a beverage or 4 I emerged after the break to find that torrential rain had dampened the ground. During the third and fourth quarters it was very different football. Wet weather football, as it continued to rain down the game was close. I think it stopped raining somewhere during the last quarter. There was only a few points in it all day. Until Wanneroo kicked away in the last 5 minutes and won by 18 points. I'm sure all the crowd had a good time probably about 500 people witnessed a close tight game.

After results on the weekend Onion Ridge still sit in the top 5. With Gosnells losing a lot of percentage.

Looking forward to next weekend against Lynwood Ferndale.
Hope to hear from some other games!

Hey SFFC, crawl back under your rock and please dont be involved in our conversations about C1 if your just going to dribble shit and abuse people.

There are people on this forum that talk alot of sense, and dont abuse people, and that is the way we would like this forum to continue.

So if you have something constructive to add regarding the standard of football in C1 please speak up, otherwise STFU
