Mate probably just the bigger bodies in the midfield got us in the end. Canning use the ball very well all over the ground and punished us for most mistakes. It was probably the difference between the teams to be honest, something we need to improve if we're to become more consistent.

Mossie Park definitely flying. From memory not many stand-outs, just well-rounded and no passengers.. But if I had to pick, their full-forward can kick it a mile and moves well for a chubby bunny and as mentioned after my Round 3 post, 'Davo' (dread-locked midfielder) is a handy pickup though I am not sure he plays every week.

They are good, but I do think Quinns will win this weekend.

IMO - and no reflection on Canningvale, I would say Canning are still the best side we have played against this year, followed by Quinns, Basso, Mossie then Warnbro..
Loves kicking goals, passing them off is only an option.

It will be a good one and my it was. The pressure came on bass
Late in the 2nd And basso came out swinging after the half
Time break Hittin hard on and off the ball and the crowd where as bad
Calling the players c***s and all sorts of names. Basso where very good
And was there best game by far but where the ones going for the man not the
Ball after the half time giving away a few frees to quinns . Quinns showed they
have what it takes to not Give up and keep going against a hard fighting team
and got the job done By 3 goals and look dangerous for finals footy
Great game lots of banter and a few tussles but good football and finals
Are coming and it's bound to happen. Will be a great grand
Final if bass can keep it up and they play each other.

Footy to say we came out swinging after half time is a bit of a lie, there might have been the odd slightly late tackle or bumps ( from both teams ) but nothing the umps didn't take care of. I personally thought the hardness at the ball from both teams picked up in the last half and a few push and shoves happened from both teams but nothing major. The umps did a good job we had our chances to take the win getting within a goal during the last but couldn't snatch it, we did waste a lot of chances in the first half too. All in all a good hard game I thought

And like you said a couple un necessary after play hits and bumps
All in good hard game of football. Loved watching it expecially as a non
Follower of either teams and could tell basso wonted it
A lot more and came out ready

Freofortheflag wrote: Good to see there have still been no dramas in the C2 comp. a few more issues in lower and higher grades with games being called off. So well done to all team and clubs involved !!

Onto the results, Mosman park are flying!! Have they started to get players back? Or starting to gel?
LAG who were mossies better players?

Canning continue to coast along!! They have class all around the ground! Dingo who stood out for them?

And quinns and basso game seemed to be a tough one! Footy and Dof bull who were the better players for basso?
Maggies im guessing ur from basso because u are always writing about them, so who were quinns better players? What makes them unbeatable at this point?

Nothing to do with the club anymore. I did a few years ago and just follow them as well as the other teams in C2. I didnt get to the game but still talk to a couple of lads from time to time. Sounds like football was the winner on the day. Agree that it is good to hear that there are not too many issues in C2 compared to some lower levels. Good luck to all.

Regular season means nothing to us. we are coming off a few preliminary defeats so need to gel at the right time of year (Injuries permitting).

I hear canning have a few injuries and some players going on holidays???
Luck this season they have the depth of there 2's and 3rds to push up. canningvale on the other hand might not be to lucky if they get hit with injuries come finals! Quinns and Warnbro in a good position you would say with both good depth from both teams. Do teams like basso and valley start dropping players back to strengthen there 2's sides and to have a good run into finals??

not a chance KTB. We will always field our strongest team in league. Avoiding relegation is the highest priority.

I highly doubt Basso will with being only 1 win out of the top 5!!

Being from Basso I do say there is no way we will be dropping players back to play 2s, we have challenged the top sides and will do all the way to the finals! Our aim is to take our top side as far as possible!!!!!
