It has been a very quiet week on the forums this week. Which is unfortunate for Mr Mysterious seeing as I'm on holidays. People often say, "Mr Mysterious, what is it you do?" Well currently I'm the manager of one of the biggest franchises in the world. So exciting times are ahead.
A few interesting games this weekend. Onion Ridge v Gosnells sees 5th v 4th. Other than that all teams from the top 5 vs teams from the bottom 5. Which could see the gap between the top 5 and bottom 5 grow. Anything can happen, just remember stranger things have happened in football!
Ocean Ridge v Gosnells
Last time they met
Gosnells 17.8 110 def Ocean Ridge 10.12 72
Onion Ridge has a tough task here. Whilst a loss could still see them sitting 5th, win here could give them breathing space if other results go there way. Same with Gosnells, win and by 5p Saturday they could be 1 game clear of 5th and 2 clear of 6th. Onion Ridge really do need a win here. I'm tipping an upset at Heathridge on Saturday

Kelmscott v Lynwood Ferndale
Last time they met
Kelmscott 12.12 84 def Lynwood 8.3 51
After losing last week and forfeiting the reserves I'm sure a lot of work has been done to get the club back on track. Lynwood are one of 5 teams trying to fit into 4th and 5th spot on the ladder. I'm not to sure what to make of Kelmscott, could last weeks events spark them into action for the rest of the season, or will they slump. Lynwood need a win or risk losing touch with the top 5. (Hopefully Lynwood get to play reserves this week.)
Kelmscott 2 goals
Kingsley v Coolbinia West Perth
Last time they met
CWP 14.8 92 def Kingsley 8.11 59
Kingsley's resurgence hit a block last week when they went down to Kingsway by 50 points. However they no longer sit on the bottom of the ladder. CWP still have a chance of finals, but a loss here and they could be fighting off relegation. The battle of the clubs with the red and blue. I think that could be an interesting game down at Kingsley oval this weekend.

Melville v Kingsway MOTR
Last time they met
Kingsway 12.22 94 def Melville 9.3 57
Match of the round here. Melville sit just outside the 5 and are ready to make a run for the finals. What better way to do that then to knock off a a team that is going well. Kingsway have a real chance to finish 2nd and secure a home final if they can win here. A loss can see them to 4 games behind 1st and they could still miss the finals. Should be a good hard match down at the Auskick oval.
Kingsway by 2 goals
Thornlie v Wanneroo
Last time they met
Wanneroo 22.9 141 def Thornlie 6.6 42
Looking forward to travelling down to Thornlie this weekend. Does anyone know if Richard Pennicuik is still around? (If you dont know who he is, GOOGLE HIM) Thornlie sit bottom of the ladder but always put up a good hard contest against Wanneroo. Whilst the boys from The Showgrounds are undefeated. Should be a tough match down Thornlie way.

Good luck to all this weekend. I look forward to enjoying beer on tap and a few hot chips down at Thornlie this weekend. Come and say hi Thornlie faithful.
