Cockburn Lakes (5th) v Ballajura (8th) @ Anning Park
Last time around Ballajura had more scoring shots but still lost by 16 points. The Royals haven’t had success in the last 4 weeks and would like to think that this could be the week to get back in the winners circle. The Warriors are coming off a big win against Belmont and know that they need to win to stay ahead of a rampaging East Freo. A couple more wins and they can cement their spot in the 5.
Cockburn to win.
Belmont (10th) v Nollamara (4th) @ Forster Park
Last time around the Cougars dished out a 11 goal loss to the bombers and things haven’t got much better for the Forster Park boys. They can’t take a trick at the moment and are headed down to C4. Nolla played hard on the weekend but couldn’t get the win they needed to grab a top 3 spot. They’ll now concentrate on getting some big wins under their belt to keep that double chance hope alive.
Nollamara to win.
Armadale (9th) v Carlisle (3rd) @ Gwynne Park
Armadale are struggling and had to forfeit the reserves game on the weekend. Hopefully at home they will have more numbers and will field 2 competitive sides. Carlisle suffered a shock loss to East Freo and must now focus on the form that gave them a 111 point win last time they met Armadale. The top 5 looks pretty close and % could be the deciding factor at the end of the year.
Carlisle to win.
East Fremantle (7th) v Dianella Morley (6th) @ Winnacott Reserve
East Freo are on a hot streak, knocking off 2 of the top 3 in successive weeks. Last time these teams met is was the Raiders easily but the boys from Winnacott are turning the comp on it’s head at the moment. Dianella took care of some unfinished business when they beat Balla in the rematch of the drawn called off game. They only sit a game and a half outside the 5 and need a couple of good wins to gain on those sides above them.
East Freo to win.
Noranda (1st) v Ellenbrook (2nd) @ Lightning Park
Game of the round. The Eels upset the premiership favourites with a big game in the ANZAC Day clash but this time the game is on the Hawks home turf. Both sides have new coaches since that game and have been travelling well – so much so that the winner takes outright top spot. It should be a great day of footy at Lightning Park with the undefeated Hawks playing the 3rd placed Eels in the curtain raiser.
Ellenbrook to win.
