With some guidance from my friend Goanna, who apparently is leading the tipping comp, I thought I'd follow the lead of Big Al and The Shiz in trying to stimulate some activity in the A Grade previews.

There certainly seems to be some interest around Collegians and Maddington after Sleevesy's observations.

This week's round garners huge interest as the race for the 4th and 5th spots on the ladder is right on. For those who haven't seen the ladder it is Uni 32 points, WC 32, NB 28, TA's 20 (111.59%), Maddo 20 (78.94%), Whitfords 18 (95.57%, Swan Ath 16 (91.02%), Mt Lawley 14 (83.48%) then CBC 12 and Collegians 8. Maddo's % may be costly unless they can put a gap between them and others.

NB v Collegians. NB with 2 more games left at Charles Riley, and with strong belief after 2 character building wins, the Beach boys should not let this one drop against an improving Collegians. They won't want to take them lightly though.

Maddington v Mt Lawley. Potentially the match of round with Mt Lawley knocking off the ladder leader Wesley Curtin at home last week and Maddo dropping one they may have banked on at Dalkeith. Maddington, at home is my tip, only because of the home ground advantage, as travelling outside of the local area does not seem to suit. It will be a tight game however.

CBC v TA. Smarting after leading all day only to go down after the siren, I predict TA's will have a very strong win and focus on securing their position in the 5. CBC need to improve to prevent them falling deeper into relegation trouble.

WC v Swan Athletic. WC at South Oval to get back on the winners list. A fair drive (bus trip perhaps??) for the boys from the Valley and it may be a tough day at the office.

Uni v Whitford. The Warriors had a resounding win at McDonald Reserve last week and yet again they are contenders for a finals spot. You can never write them off as they are always knocking at the door. This week against the reigning Premier and Flag favourites will test and I tip an upset with the boys from Padbury to start well and lead all day. Goanna disagrees but what does he know.

Have a great day at the Footy, wherever.

Would just like to congratulate Jamie Pollock from Swan Athletic FC today as it is his 300th senior game for the club! This milestone is one to admire as ALL his 300 games are for the LEAGUE side (not played one reserves game) through A and B Grades over the years, his milestone is truly one for the record books!
Anyone who has played with or against this man could only marvel at his ability and agree that he is definitely one of a kind!
Congrats Jamie (Pollo) and all the best for a huge milestone today!
