I may as well kickoff of this round and leave the tips for bulldog 1980.

with Jandakot beating SH last round it has opened up a gap of 8 points from third to fourth pretty much securing the top three their positions. With 4th-8th still vying for the last two positions every game counts as we count down to finals

TA'S V BRENTWOOD
(Brentwood 15.11-101 def TA's 8.6-54)
Trinity are one of those teams vying for that fifth position and will give it their best shot against Brentwood. Brentwood went down last week to fellow’s final contender SR in a close game. Hard to see Brentwood losing two on the trot here and would like to come away with a big win to get their confidence back up. Brentwood by 6+ goals

COCKBURN V SWAN VIEW

Not much to say here Cockburn playing for pride and unfortunately going to get another shellacking. Swan View in a percentage booster 15+ goals

WEMBLEY V ROLEYSTONE
(Roley 18.7-115 def Wembley 11.8-74)
Roleystone must win this game to have any chance of making the finals. after beating the cobras last week they only sit 2 points out of the 5 and really need to put Wembley to the sword for that all important percentage. Wembley will give it their all but don’t see that being enough. Roley by 7+ goals

SECRET HARBOUR V OSBORNE PARK
(SH 12.8-80 def O/Park 9.8-62)
O/Park can still make the finals but it is these games against higher opposition that they need to win and show the comp that they can actually make a presence felt. SH also a must win as if they lose this game they will go further into the pack and may almost miss out on the finals all together. That being said SH are a better side at home 2 goals

GOTR SOUTHERN RIVER V JANDAKOT
( SR 11.9-75 def 11.8-74)
Well this one should be a cracker of a game. Jandakot have found some form and beating a few teams above them. SR coming back after a terrible loss to beat 2nd place Brentwood. Last time these two met Jandakot had the wood over us all game and we were very lucky to come away with the win. IF Jandakot want to play deep into the finals they need to show that they can match it with the top three (just not one time but multiple times). Don’t see this happening as SR are a much better team at home. SR by 8+ goals

Both lost last week to teams vying for the top positions. Brentwood know they can’t lose this one and will be out to make amends for last week’s loss. Trinity are 7th and a game and a half outside the 5, if they win against a team like Brentwood the competition may start to take notice. I think you know who my tip will be for; Brentwood to win.

Cockburn Cobras (10th) vs. Swan View (1st) @ Davilak Reserve

Cockburn lost against Roleystone last week and the competition they face this week doesn’t paint a pretty picture. Swan View have kept to their structures all season and as a result they see themselves a game ahead on top of the comp. It’s 1st vs. 10th and unfortunately for Cockburn, that is going to show in the final score. Swan View to win.

Wembley (9th) vs. Roleystone (6th) @ Henderson Park
Last time Roleystone 115 df. Wembley 74

Roleystone had a slump but have rallied hard to get it back to 5 and 5. They are still half a game outside the 5 and if they want to be playing finals they have to beat these teams. No doubt this comp for Wembley is more about training the borderline players for their higher grade teams and versusing 1sts teams will make their B grade teams stronger. Roleystone should win.

Secret Harbour (4th) vs. Osborne Park (8th) @ Rhonda Scarrott Oval

Secret Harbour lost to the up and coming Jets, while Osborne Park had a win over Wembley. At least the Harbour are back home after a few weeks away, maybe the extra sleep in they get this week will help them out of the blocks. Looking at the round scores the Park look like they are improving as the seasons gone on, although they really need to win against the Harbour to set up realistic goals of playing finals. I think it will be close, but Secret Harbour should make amends for the last couple of weeks and come out on top.

Southern River (3rd) vs. Jandakot (5th) @ Sutherlands Park

This has to be the game of the round. These are the only two teams to beat Brentwood so far and the last time they played they were only separated by 1 point at the siren. Jandakot are showing themselves to be competitive against most of the competition, and will be coming out hard to make amends from last time. I was impressed with Southern River last week, and week in week out have been showing the comp that they deserve to be near the pointy end of the ladder. The competition will be tough and The River will be a couple of goals ahead at the final siren.

FL87s whopper winning performance last week made him shoot up to be the clear 1st on the top. In my opinion, I think his rise to the top started when he decided he would stop tipping against his own team.. Mad Dog is hot on his tail though, only one behind. With some tight games this week the gap be non existant by the end of the weekend.

50 Games have been played so far and a further 40 more gamed to be tipped. Having a range of only 8, if the bottom guys can get a tip a week extra, the competition is anyones!

BAHAHAHAHAHA, Well said RJ, definitely put a smile on my face when I read this as it's probably true. Been on a good roll lately with not only stunning performances in tipping, but playing really well on the footy field for the ressies last week. But enough about me cos I'll get a big head...

TA's Vs Brentwood Booragoon
Well the Bulldogs succumbed to their second defeat of the season at the hands of the Mighty Southern River boys at home. Our boys used the field extremely well and proved that we are a force to be reckoned with come finals time. With that being said though, the Bulldogs held their own and were super competitive till 3 qtr time before the floodgates opened. I expect them to put in a full 4 qtr performance this week. TA's though got handed a 78 point thumping by The View last week and now they face a team desperate to get back on the winning list.

Not really much to add here with The View clearly a class above the rest at the moment. Cobras are just in it for sportsmanship now I think, no finals for them this year.

Wembley Vs Roleystone
For me this season, Roleystone have been a good team for a couple of weeks, then a bad team after that but then coming back up on the winning side of things. Their too inconsistent in other words. Wembley hpwever have constently been on the losing side of a hard battle, with games earlier on in the season being close games. When we played, they were very competitive and play on their home turf well. I'm gonna go the upset of the week and pick Wembley cos I just don't think Roley play well on bigger grounds

SECRET HARBOUR Vs OSBORNE PARK
Secrets lost last week to a resurgent Jandakot by a couple of kicks, Were as Ozzie Park had a comfortable win over Wembley. I get to play on Rhonda Scarrott Oval next week so I'll be interested to see what the grounds like from what I've heard on here. Secret Harbour are a very hard side to beat at home and OP have trouble winning away so I figure that will ne the same this week.

Well this is an important game for us to win this week. After the win last time we played them, it set up our run of 7 in a row and the Jetters always bring out the best in us and the worst. But things have definitely changed since that day at the Swamplands, both teams stronger though so it could go either way. Obvious were I'm going with this one though.
