Osborne Park keep their very slim finals hopes alive with a convincing win over Wembley. Their form in recent times has been good but they will need a few big scalps to have any chance of making the 5.
Roleystone also stayed in touch with the top 5 with a win over the struggling Cobras. They too will need to beat 2-3 teams above the them to make the 5,especially with a shocking percentage.
Jandakot put Secret Harbour to the sword and are the most improved team in the comp. Sounds like there were a few incidents on and off the field and hopefully a complaint is lodged with the Amatuers to stamp that crap out. If its correct that bikies rocked up with weapons after a phone call from a player then both the player and the club should be sanctioned. A few worrying reports coming from Secret Harbours last 2 games and theyve now dropped 3 in a row When we played them their coach wasn't too bad but at one point they had 5-6 players more than happy to run in to a 2 on 2 scuffle. And when they were all happy about being a 2 goals up at qtr time a player with a neck wider than shrek was boasting about knocking heads off. Sort ya shit out or piss off back to the Mercantile.
The most interesting result was Southern River toppling Brentwood. I tipped The River but thought it would be a bit closer. Interested to hear a report on the game. Southern River did what good teams do and rebounded with a good win after a bad loss. This result now sees The View go a game clear at the top of the ladder.

Our game against TA's was a tale of 2 halves. Early on we had plenty of the ball but weren't as efficient without our FF or CHF playing and Trinity were getting a couple of cheap ones at the other end and they stayed in touch. That gave them some hope and they were up and about in the 2nd qtr. Our intensity wasn't up to scratch and at the main break TA's held a 5 point margin. You would've though they'd just won a flag with all the carry on.
Anyway,we copped a decent bake and TA's didn't kick a goal after that. We played better obviously but still weren't at our best. Our recruits performed well and with 4 of our top players coming back in next week we will be looking to put a 4 qtr performance together against the Cobras.
TA's will look to rebound to keep their finals hopes alive and hopefully wherever they are playing they have the decency to clean up the mess they leave in the changerooms. Clearly the boys are used to having mummy or the maid clean up after them. I'm sure there wouldn't have been that much mess though if they hadn't of brought their own eskis full of piss. Poor Form!!

brentwood vs river game was probably a bit closer through out the day, river kicked a 6 unanswered goals in the 4th qtr to brentwoods 6-7 points.

river started better and had a goal lead at qtr time, half time was about 2 goals and 3qtr time it was a 4 point ball game.

hats off to river they kept running all day and spread very well, their use of the ball was far superior and they used the switch to great effect.

brentwoods depth getting a good work out at the minute but looking forward to getting a few of the starting 22 back in the next couple of weeks.

Great game in the Reserves between Southern River and Brentwood Booragoon. See sawing account in tge first half. River dominated most of the play but poor disposal inside 50 let us down. To the Dogs credit, they stepped it up after half time and challenged a River side whom had their strongest side in for about 5 weeks. With 4 mins left, the Bulldogs were up by 15 points and it wasn't looking good for River, until we got 2 quick goals and made it a 3 point buffer. We kept pressing and our coach made a switch which paid off by putting our full bsck in the forward pocket . He took a mark with 10 secs left from right in front and slotted it through after the siren to win the game by 3 points for Southern River. Well done to our boys and thanks to the Bulldogs for their hospitality.

Full Backs scoring winning goals,I'm sure he won't be shutting up about that one for a while... Gutsy effort by both teams. I think the Brentwood boys thought they were home and eased a bit where as the river kept pushing forward. If only your guy in the forward pocket held it a bit longer...

So I went and watched the jandakot secret harbour game, and I was dissapointed
Not due to jandakot because they played well and fair, secret harbor however were doing nothing but going for the man spear tackling instead of trying to go for the ball and apart from number 11 , and 27 utterly useless the fact that they had to take cheap shots which ended in a red card. Not only the secret harbour players but the umpire for secret was useless paying push in the back to secret and never to jandakot and paying a kick that was about 10m long to jandakot saying it was 15 then 30 secs later doesn't pay one that was about 20 m long mayb it was different cos the later would of been a set shot on goal when secret was up by 1 point in the last quarter full points on the other hand to jandakots umpire very fair and reasonable. to top the day off some secret idiot told his mates to come and fight not wat u want when it's suppose to be a family friendly event. Reflecting on this I realize wat was I thinking expecting more from secret harbor it just proves it's a hole in the ground full of trash that I wouldn't leave a turd in cos it deserve a better place to decompose

On the other hand for jandakot if they could sort their forward. Line out and give their full forward some room they would of killed secret, cos all the forward pockets and flanks went and sat in front of him so he had no where to lead other than that they have a quite impressive half backline that is good on rebound

Yeah really disappointing to hear about the carry on regarding SH. Jandakot has fought hard to develop a good culture after a tumultuous first couple of years in the Saturday comp.

Couldn't agree more with the needing to clear out the forward line comment. Lots of new players still learning the structure. Will be good to see what we can do if we ever get a full team on the park. Similar to lots of other clubs I'd imagine.

Looking forward to a huge game against southern river this week especially after the very questionable goal umpiring desicion in the reverse fixture which got them up with only minutes to go.

Mmmmm - love a good spear tackle....... NOT!

Great day for Jandakot in relation to our League & Colts having terrific wins.

As mentioned before - very disappointing day for our club in other ways. We shut the bar & club basically as soon as trouble was brewing so there was little celebration of our wins.

No complaint lodged with the League - we hope that it is just a matter of every club having an off day.
