Apologies then fellas as I said a Beach player told me - must have mixed his words.

If you read my post I said they are generally good but let down by howlers. I think anyone who has been at enough league and magoos games this season knows we have some completely incapable umpires in orange running around.

But we need them so I am happy to accept they will make mistakes lets just hope they dont cost a poor team a GF or relegation

How can you say they are incapable? What makes them this way? Fitness? Appearance? Decisions? Gender ?
Overall I think you'd find the A grade umpires a quite good. That's the feed back I get from most clubs

Phil, did maddo rest big arnott( as he was in the 25 submitted)
thinking that it was going to be a walk in the park as recent history would suggest u have had the wood over collegians, except for the game that counted most of all.

Arnott is up north working and was unable to get back for the game unfortunately.

Have Collegians picked anybody up or are they simply just starting to gel as a side. Two weeks ago it looked all over for them. Winning 4 of their next 8 games (based on their recent form) to avoid relegation would not on the face of it seems impossible.

No new recruits Big Al.

I think we really felt the impact of having about 5 players who played finals last year for the most of the start of the season with various guys moving for work, country coin, injuries and just some older bodies taking a bit longer to get into another season.

Hence the team has had to become used to different structure and roles.

Dazza,

Are you sure Maddo have a better recent record against Collegians? I thought we had only lost twice? Not that it matters.

I have missed the last 3 games, but am looking forward to getting up to Chas to play the twisties. Hopefully we continue to build from here.
