Cockburn Lakes (5th) v Dianella Morley (6th) @ Anning Park
Game of the Round. A crucial game for both clubs with the winner to hold a top 5 spot at the end of the round. Both sides are coming off big losses and need to start the road to finals by winning now. Last time Dianella won by 18 points but Cockburn had 2 more scoring shots. I think Cockburn have straightened up since then and will play their tight ground a bit better than the Raiders.

Armadale (9th) v Nollamara (4th) @ Gwynne Park
Armadale finally cracked the drought with a win on the weekend and will have a bit of confidence at home against a side that only beat them by 17 points last time they played. Nollamara easily disposed of Easts and will look to continue their charge to the finals with a big win away. I think they’ll have too much class over the ground.

Ballajura (7th) v Carlisle (2nd) @ Kingfisher Oval
Ballajura started the season off well with victory over Carlisle but haven’t travelled well since then. Their season is on the line and they are desperate for the 4 points after last week’s loss against top team Noranda. Carlisle are 2nd for a reason and fought off a spirited Raiders last week. They’ll be keen to atone for round 1 but might not get the free flowing footy that they want on Kingfisher.

East Fremantle (8th) v Noranda (1st) @ Winnacott Reserves
Easts are currently out of the relegation zone but know that they need to be competitive against the top sides to stay that way. It was a comfortable win to the Hawks last time around but should be a bit closer at Winnacott. Agostino has Noranda powering along and I can’t see to much changing here.

Ellenbrook (3rd) v Belmont (10th) @ Coolamon Oval
A tight 20 point game in round 1 went in Ellenbrooks favour but both seasons have gone in opposite directions since. Belmont have struggled all season and are bound for C4 after failing to beat Armadale. They are now playing for pride and this alone might not be enough. The Eels had a good win last week with 2 goals in the first 2 minutes setting the scene. Hopefully another quick start is on the cards this week.
