Well the halfway point beckons and we're seeing who is looking to move into a secure finals spot and who's not where they want to be.

I must of had luck on my side last week to pick all 5 tips.

Onto this weeks games...

Swan View Vs Southern River (1st V 3rd)
Tied GOTR
This weeks games are going to be amazing and will definitely shape up what will be a fantastic second half of the season. Swan View have been good, beating every team except Brentwood Booragoon. Southern River have also been very good with our only loss against Brentwood Booragoon in Round 1 and have won 7 in a row. Going on current results, Southern River have been beating team comfortably so I reckon we're gonna make it 8 in a row.
SOUTHERN RIVER BY 5 GOALS

Roleystone V Trinity Aquinas (7th V 5th)
Roleystone last week were competitive in patches but could not beat the structures and run of Southern River. Trinity on the other hand have broken even so far with 4-4. Roley were competitive earlier in the season but have dropped off the pack and haven't been consistent enough to warrant a higher position on the ladder. TA's i think will end up taking 4th or 5th spot near the end of the season so with that in mind, TA's will win.
TA's BY 4 GOALS

Wembley V Cobras (9th V 10th)
I actually thought this could go close to Game Of The Round too but common sense prevailed. Winner of this one finally gets their first win of the season. The River boys beat Cobras by 11 goals, whilst we beat Wembley by 5 goals. Wembley to win.
WEMBLEY BY 6 GOALS

Brentwood Booragoon V Secret Harbour (2nd V 4th)
Tied GOTR
Had to split GOTR with this one. BB lost their first game of the year against a resilient Jandakot and I was glad to get that one right (even if it was a 1 point game! Sorry Bulldog) Secret fought a strong Swan View side at their turf but were outmuscled by The View. I think it will be the same again this week for SH as BB will definitely be seeking to get back on the winners list.
BRENTWOOD BOORAGOON BY 5 GOALS

Osborne Park V Jandakot (6th V 8th)
Jandakot have had an awesome couple of weeks. After a slow start, they've knocked off the league leaders last weke by a point and can definitely see that trend continuing in big games. OP have been far from their best footy with a 2-6 record after 8. It doesn't seem that they've improved whilst everyone else around them who were in C4 last season has (Minus Cobras for their 0-8 record) In saying this though, I think the Jets will be full of momentum and would think a fantastic chance to winning again... I just think it'll be their own undoing and cost them.
OSBORNE PARK BY 2 GOALS

Well that's it from me. GL to all.

Hahahaha - we look after you last week and you can't support us in our attempt to remain in touch with the Top 5 :)

It's our FIFO week; so fingers crossed we can go 5 from 6.

Well it wouldn't surprise me if you did win it. The game could go either way... Still having to stick to my guns tho and go OP. Sorry buddy.

On another side note; Is Rich Leigh still doubling up on games like last season? I only ask cos I remembered he tore us to shreds in the reserves Qualifying Final last year. He seems a genuine League player, dumbfounded why he'd play 2 games and risk injury throughout the season. Just wondering

one more game and it will be at the halfway mark and clearly there are 4 teams making finals. which order is up to the second half of the year. it will be an interesting fight going into the second half of the year to see the final five.

GOTR SWAN VIEW V SOUTHERN RIVER
Well two of the top sides go to battle this week and it will be a cracking game. Swan View won’t want to lose this on at their home ground but at the same time River will want to keep their winning streak alive after only losing the first game of the season. It’s hard to judge a team you haven’t played yet and you never tip against your team (FL87 :P ) Southern River by 4 goals.

ROLEYSTONE V TA'S
even tho Roleystone play there oval well, if the put the performance up that they did last week they will get killed and that will be my prediction aswell. TA's by 10+ goals.

WEMBLEY V COCKBURN
well battle for bottom spot is heating up and if it was at Cockburn I would have chosen them but seeing it is at Wembley I will back them in for their first win.

BRENTWOOD V SECRET HARBOUR
well Brentwood dropping their first game was a bit surprising but glad that Jandakot got up. SH lost to an impressive SV last week and if they lose this they will lose touch with the top three. Brentwood will be looking to get back on the winning list at home. upset of the week happening right here. SH by 2 points.

OSBORNE PARK V JANDAKOT
OP haven’t shown anything this year to warrant me tipping them, where one the other hand Jandakot have taken to the top teams beating BB losing by a point to SR and a couple of goals to SV. could be a dark horse come finals but time will tell on that. Jandakot to win by 5 goals.

good luck to all.

"Rich" didn't so much double up last season - just up and down based on League requirements. Was helping with coaching which meant 1/2 up 1/2 down. But finals down obviously.

"Rich" loves you too Ezz  He hasn't forgotten about all that feeding you use to do for him a few years ago...

"He" is playing League this week after getting over injury.
