Ok guys,
before getting to PFL Hearing think it's important to bring you up to speed on a few points.
First.
The club was offered as a penalty the loss of two game premiership points.
This was rejected out of hand...they had simply not done as alleged. (It is worth noting, such a penalty would not have impeded Club as they were top of the ladder) From here on it seems to get a little personal?
The coaches previous club was then approached in a quest to get any possible incriminating information. (Coach is a life member of said club) He was that clubs colts coach the year before.
Relevance to the Case in point....absolutely Zero.
It just illustrates how far the PFL went to build a case where there was none, to get evidence where there wasn't any!
Moving on to first hearing and at this point I would like to raise a question come comment.
It is my understanding (incorrectly I hope) that this mechanism of governance has now been removed?
If so I can only add that club presidents must have been asleep at the wheel to let this get through!
If so it is now literally a case of judge, jury and executioner.
Pls correct me if I'm mistaken.
Anyway PFL Hearing went ahead and to keep relevant as poss will keep short.
The case was dismissed due to lack of evidence....
Said coach was frustrated as to how it had got to this and made the point "Where are the checks and balances required to haul any club up to such a hearing", he was duly reminded the case was dismissed and that would be the end of the matter UNLESS evidence (new) was made forth coming.
Been.quite a long post so will.end here, t
