The addition of such a disclaimer would rule out ignorance as a defence, especially if a player puts their name to it. Just another avenue to inform players and clubs of the rules.

So Davis is playing at gosnells for free huh? League should investigate that one as if he would move to northam and not play for Perth today but want to play for gossy

Leon rolled up at Donnybrook training not long back and was after 1300 a game so i wouldnt think he would be playing at gossy for nothing .....

I heard he was shopping around for about 1800 per game.

I also heard a couple of other AFL names that might be playing at Gossy, both would not play for free.....

Typical.. wants everything for nothing..

Played many years in the WAAFL & was happy to accept cash & other "helpful" donations including not paying fees etc. I guess it is something that can go undetected - and will continue to do so!

Heard it a few times yesterday possibly Boddington, a Rio a game

But if their willing to waste money on 1 bloke then they are fools.

So Davis isn't playing for Northam then? I was looking thru the Avon clearances and saw that Leon was denied clearance to railways last week?

Will we see how dinkum the league is with the whole paying players argument this year?

If a player who is shopping themselves around different leagues ends up in the WAAFL at any club they should be investigated.

If clubs in a paid League cannot get said player and they end up in a WAAFL grade there must be an inquiry from the WAAFL.

The fact that the WAAFL dropped Kelmscott for fuel cards is a joke when everyone knows teams DO get away with more than that.

Sick and tired of this whole debate the WAAFL need to grow some balls and do something or finally allow clubs the chance to pay players.

I know there are plenty who will say they don't do this now but there are plenty who lie as well.

Bring back semi pro and be done with it!
