I trust every one had a good break and all the niggles have taken care of them selves.

Last round winners were River, TA, Secrets, BB and View

Ladder Positions

Maddog - 5 - 28
FL87 - 4 - 25
BD1980 - 5 - 25
Footblr- 5 - 23
Screech- 4 - 22
RJ - 4 - 22

on to this weeks tips:

TA's Vs Wembley:
Battle of the 3rds and 4ths, Wembley having a tough time in C4 where TA's are a rough chance for making the top 5. Wembley look happier cementing the reserves flag. I think TA's will be too strong.

Cobra's Vs OP:
OP were great last round, really played hard and I am surprised they have only won one game. Cobra's seem to be struggling a bit this year but hats off they keep fighting every week and play a good brand of footy. OP to win this.

Secret Harbour Vs Swan View
Game of the round for me, cant wait to see the result, I think secret harbour are the quite achievers and are travelling very nicely, will be great to match up on them next week! Swan View again took care of the opposition and wouldnt want to give up second spot for anything. I think Secret Harbour may have their measure here.

Southern River Vs Roleystone:
It appears the wheels have fallen off at roleystone after a great start, bumped into a couple of their ressies at the golf course over the bye and they seemed to have enjoyed their team bonding and was very pleased how their ressies were travelling. Southern river have taken all those infront of them after a blemish in round 1 and I dont see anything changing here, southern river to win.

Jandakot Vs Brentwood:
Brentwood had a hard fought win over Ossie Park last round, Jandakot have been on the improve as well and took it up to swan view but think it may be a bit too difficult for them this week. Looking forward to a beer with DB after the game and seeing what Jandakots family day has to offer. Brentwood to win

Hi fellas,

Was a little too keen to come back after the bye round and unfortunately will be missing at least 2 weeks with a hammy. Will still be at the games so looking forward to Roleystone and Swan View over the next 2, hopefully ready for Brentwood in Round 10. Anyways, Onto my tips...

TA's V Wembley.
Don't discount Wembley just because they're bottom of the ladder. They will bring it to TA's and it will be close i think. In saying that though, TA's are a very good side and well drilled, so it may be too much for Wembley.
TA'S BY 2 GOALS

Cockburn V Osborne Park
I agree with Bulldog. OP should be better placed but just haven't been able to get the job done. I think they will be the big movers for the second half of the season. Cockburn on the otherhand haven't been as competitive it seems and i don't think it'll get better this week.
OSBORNE PARK BY 5 GOALS

SECRET HARBOUR V SWAN VIEW
Definitely GOTR candidate, both sides looking strong and this battle could go either way. Got my son to pick a left or right side of the computer screen and wich ever side he chose I'd go for (Secret for Left/The View for Right). Also, the loser of this match is a game behind the top 3 if Southern River win.
THE VIEW BY 1 GOAL

SOUTHERN RIVER V ROLEYSTONE
A massive game for us boys at home this week. We've won 6 in a row now and we want to continue our run. This is a Rivalry Game for us as well, as Roleystone have a good history with us and being the closest club to us, we want bragging rights again. Finally, it's our Alumni/Past Players Day as we celebrate our founding members and players. Hopefully a good crowd will be there to spurn us onto victory.
SOUTHERN RIVER BY 7 GOALS

JANDAKOT V BRENTWOOD BOORAGOON.
I'm not sure how this one will go. I know Brentwood being undefeated would like to keep that going, but I also know that Jandakot have been on the up and could pip out a team for 5th spot come finals. I'm going to pick Jandakot in a big upset.
JANDAKOT BY 1 GOAL

Good Luck to all

Finally the bye round has gone and we are back. The ladder is really interesting with only 1 game between 1st and 4th. With what looks like only 3 teams to fight it out for 5th it going to be an interesting year for all involved.

to this week’s tips.

TA'S v WEMBLEY
TA's are one of those three teams fighting for the fifth spot and need to put Wembley to the sword to show that they are real finals contenders. Wembley on the other hand haven’t won a game. this is no easy win for TA'S. Wembley in an upset by 2 goals

COCKBURN V OSBORNE PARK
Alot of people rate OP me i am not sure yes they were in the finals last year but this year it doesn’t seem they have improved to go that one step extra where everyone else has. hopefully they can find that form and challenge for the five but this is a game where again they need to show that they do mean business this year and slaughter Cockburn. in saying that Cockburn have pride to play for and languishing at the bottom of the ladder won’t sit right at that proud club. Cockburn in an upset by 4 goals.

GOTR SECRET HARBOUR V SWAN VALLEY
This is by far easy GOTR for me 2nd v 4th only separated by percentage. With Swan View only losing to Brentwood and SH only losing to Southern River this is going to see which either one stands. Either way someone will have to loose and I am only going SH because it is a long way from SV for them to travel. SH by 2 points

SOUTHERN RIVER V ROLEYSTONE
Well the old rivalry starts up again. Every time that these two teams face each other it is always hard and fair with the last couple of results going to SR. but that is all for nothing now. Roleystone are playing for that 5th spot and will throw everything at SR. SR will have to stand up here and respect Roley and with it being the alumni day will want to show the old players that there club is going in the right track. SR by 12 goals.

JANDAKOT V BRENTWOOD.
Jandakot have been competitive recently and Brentwood just keep on charging having not drop a game yet. I can’t see Jandakot getting close here at all even tho they are trying to fill that 5th position aswell. Brentwood by 10 goals.

Trinity Aquinas (5th) Vs Wembley (9th);
Wembley and TAs should know each other from previous years so will have a bit more knowledge of how to take down each other than the other teams. Wembley should have more hope coming up against the other thirds/fourths team. Wembley won’t be blown out of the water, but TAs will still get the win by a couple of goals.

Cockburn Cobra's (10th) Vs Osborne Park (8th);
Doubting Osborne Park’s ability is going to cost some teams soon. Maybe that’s almost what happened to Brentwood a couple of weeks ago, only winning by 7 points. Osborne Park would have gotten some confidence from the competitiveness of that game, but the time for honourable losses is over. Osborne Park to win by 4 goals and start the hard climb up the ladder.

Secret Harbour (4th) Vs Swan View (2nd);
Secret Harbour are the one team I still have no idea about. Both teams are 6 and 1. Can’t even compare their losses since SH are yet to play BB and SV haven’t played SR (which shows picking a game of the round next week is going to be hard). On this 50 cent coin, minted in 1996, the Harbour is heads and the View is tails……… And the queen’s head comes up. Secret Harbour by a point, if any.

Southern River (3rd) Vs Roleystone (7th);
Roleystone need to get back on the winners list, and Southern River needs to just maintain momentum. Reading other peoples posts, this is a Rivalry game, and these do spur teams on to get up and about. I think it will be close, but it’s a hard task for Roley to get their form back by trying to beat one of the inform teams of the comp. Southern River to win by 3 goals.

Jandakot (6th) Vs Brentwood Booragoon (1st);
I have heard it’s family day out at Atwell Oval this weekend, including a little leaguers game scheduled between the ressies and league games. Should be a good atmosphere with the crowd likely to get out in force and get behind the Red Jets. Jandakot’s form has been alright, after a slow start. Stalled against Swan View, but need this game to keep in touch with TAs, and ahead of Roley. Brentwood want to keep strong and keep their undefeated status in tack. Brentwood will get over the line and kick away with their forward line having a couple of returns this week. Brentwood by 8 goals

I reckon the face painting is a goer :) few boys with little dogs on their cheeks... Intimidation :) haha

Should be a good day...

The bar will have the beer towers out in force as well.

All get down and experience "Football at the Swamplands..." :)
