Earlier in the year I mad my way down to the Noranda v Nollamara at Lightning Park thinking it might be an interesting grand final re-match. According to one of the Nolla boys apparently he had been dropped for being 'slightly' overweight (at about 150kg one could say maybe this wasn't overstating things)...Said player declared to the spectators who he believed to be his audience before the game started that he was gonna drink this bottle of vodka (absolut 700ml) then go smash his coach...At games end and staggeringly drunk he took his issues up with the coach who rightly cracked and dropped him on the spot...pride & ego bruised and with blood pouring from the face spectators then had to endure an hour of this maniac threatening anyone within earshot of him that he was gonna go get his machete and chop everyone up. Fortunately for the crowd he could only stagger a few steps before crashing to the ground in a drunken stupor. Luckily for all the entertainment continued as he started to pick on himself by punching himself in the face repeatedly occasionally dropping himself. Bleeding profusely, obscenities being thrown at all and sundrey with full butt crack on display one could only wonder what had happened to the great Nolla club of the 80's and that of the 90's who I recall playing some damn hard footy against. A sad day for a once proud club. One of many we keep hearing of on an almost weekly basis. Footy is supposed to be fun guys. An opportunity to bond with your teammates and challenge yourself to be better, both on and off the field. It's getting to the stage that security may need to be considered when hosting this club. Hope the WAAFL administration are paying attention however I suspect that this will continue to be thrown in the too hard basket for obvious reasons as it is within most areas of society. And if you were wondering, police were called, only for them to call back an hour later to see if they were still required. It is worth mentioning that the Noranda boys handled the situation as best as they could have considering the threats that were being thrown. Can't imagine the fella would have walked away in one piece if he'd tried the same thing on at my old club.

Dirty weekender you are totally correct.....nollamara are a rable and I have no understanding why clubs put up with them.... The association waafl need to take appropriate action as they have a duty of care but they won't .
If you want to view the worst of Aus and sport head down and watch them but watch from far away believe me
