Swan View (2nd) vs. Jandakot (5th)
Swan View were going well, until last week against the other undefeated team in Brentwood. Watching Swan View, the tempo was definitely higher than the other teams I’ve seen play this year. Jandakot have had three wins in a row, against 9th, 10th and the out of form Roleystone. Jandakot will try hard, although from what I have seen last week, Swan View looked a step above other teams. Swan View by 7 Goals
Roleystone (6th) vs. Secret Harbour (4th)
Roleystone are falling apart losing three straight, while Secret Harbour are quietly notching up win by win. I still haven’t seen Secret Harbour play and being new to the competition they still remain a dark horse. They have only lost to Southern River, but are still yet to play Brentwood or Swan View. Secret Harbour will want to use Roley for a warm up to the two big weeks that will follow. Secret Harbour by 5 goals.
Cobras (9th) vs. Trinity Aquinas (7th)
Cobras haven’t been able to find a win yet this season, and will have to beat these teams if they are going to get up the ladder. Finals are still possible, and after this week they play 8th and 10th before getting the chance to make amends on the return legs. TAs are fighting hard, being a 3rds team playing 1st teams, and although only has two wins to their name, they are only 4 points outside the 5, and could be in at the midway point vsing 10th and 6th after this week. It’s a huge game for both teams, and I think Cobras will get up by 2 goals to give them some hope for the season.
Wembley (10th) vs. Southern River (3rd)
In my mind, southern river are in the top 3 for a reason. Their only loss is a faint memory all the way back in Round 1 and will be looking forward to test themselves in the coming weeks against 4th and 2nd and then show Brentwood they were just having an off day last time. Wembley haven’t displayed much, and in turn haven’t notched up a win yet. It won’t be easier for them this week. Southern River by 11 goals.
Osborne Park (8th) vs. Brentwood Booragoon (1st)
Osborne Park are 1 from 6 and really need to get up and show the competition that they can compete. Best chance to make the competition take notice is to beat the undefeated in Brentwood. They will be throwing everything they can at the Doggies to get their campaign back on track. Brentwood are playing hard footy each week, let’s hope they don’t become complacent and think the hard work is over in beating Swan View. Brentwood to win by 8 goals.
