Considering the easing of restrictions and rhetoric from government regarding community sport, it would appear more LIKELY than UNLIKELY that we will see ammos football this year.

How are clubs looking for a return to footy? A lot of water to go under the bridge still but my mail is that some clubs are already back training in groups of 10 following the changes on Monday...

All good for groups to be running in groups of 10, just not allowed to use the footys or other shared equipment yet - 31st May is the PFL date for that.

Came out late last night.

Training in groups of 10 from Monday - subject to council approval to use your oval and Coaches, Committee, etc completing online training. Use of footballs only and non-contact training.

Season start mid-July - also subject to Government approval.

Nothing yet on bars/canteens - approval expected mid-June.

All will likely be put on hold if anyone in any sporting Club catches COVID-19.

At least we now have a way forward - even with the if's and but's.

Gosnells is back training having been approved to do so by the City of Gosnells.

Yes, there are restrictions and rules, but we can live with them.

With the announcement today of the move to phase three Saturday week I'd imagine the PFL could be up and running by the end of June? Full training allowed as of Monday 8th June, surely three weeks is enough to get going?

Club Presidents and Head Coaches are having on-line meetings this week to discuss (amongst other things) a start date.

Personally, I still think the 18th July is the go.

Basically, we have to start pre-season training all over again and I would guess that most Clubs would like a scratch match or two beforehand.

Rounding up all the players is likely an issue, as I expect that some won't front up this year. How many of those who don't may cause issues next year too.

Policy 22 from WAFC continues to cause issues with the recruitment of Colts.

Another issue may be how many Clubs/teams won't play this year at all - and then may struggle next year. At least one country League has decided to suspend their competition this year and this may bring in an influx of players, with Type 2 Permit system available for those players who don't have a League/Club/team to play with this year. Player Points could be fun!!!

At least we have some certainty now.
