Mr M,
Your humorous wit has not deserted you during these 'trying' times.

Sniper all significant points.

P/ship Hangover,
Lol and would not Bali appreciate our presence now?

In short, my concern is mental health of our players. Unfortunately am waiting on a couple of important ph calls will expand tomorrow.

I know we all want the best outcome for all.

The Stinker comment was your usual humerous wit Mr M.
Probably deserved after my c/room wash down thoughts which should not be a huge cost impost anyway if done on volunteer roster of players.

As mentioned in my post it was with financial constraints aside.

The desire to see the footy resume is driven by concerns for mental health particularly in men. Sport/footy at the community level plays a significant role in mental health maintenane.

The 100 mins every Sat (added to training, pre-game prep ect) allows a player to forget any issues they maybe going through.
This in addition to the opportunity to talk to team mates is fantastic therapy.

With the present situation go to work (if not laid off due to virus) then home to isolate compounded with the inability to have a beer with mates at the pub. Then I see reason for concern.

As a senior (age wise) around the club i support I have genuine concern for some of our younger members. I think we all know men rarely pick up a ph and have a heart to heart.

Obviously the over riding factor has to be the 'bigger picture' and the health and safety of people.

I guess my point is to not let the prospect of a shorter season be a significant factor in determining whether its worth going ahead with or not.

Anyway just my thoughts, in the end if given ok by medical/govt advice it will be the call of the football commission.

Any season even if it’s 9 rounds worth having in my opinion.
I haven’t come across anyone not missing footy at the moment.
WA is doing well, we have 6 weeks until the end of May. Fingers crossed WA tracks to 0 infected by then and we can lift restrictions within the state. Keep all boarders closed.
I agree on the mental health stuff as well, people are losing jobs, bored at home and some resorting to drinking more then normal. It’s important we get back to normal as soon as it is safe. This applies to all sports and gyms.

Let’s not write things off so soon fellas!
