Unless the PFL relaxes it’s position on their Amateur Status we may see a collapse of our premier competition particularly as it relates to A & B Grade. Without that players will flock to country comps as soon as the Corona Virus has ended because they will desperately need the coin. It’s time for a reassessment and allow a salary cap to be introduced in 2021

There is going to be an awful lot of work done prior to the 2021 season, particularly if 2020 (as appears likely) doesn't go ahead.

I suspect many Clubs will struggle next year and it is likely a number of Clubs (including in AFL, country football, rugby league and others) will not survive.

On that basis, if for no other, I do not personally see going semi-professional as a good idea next year.

Again, personal opinion only, I don't see it as a good idea period as it would see a large number of Clubs go to the wall.

Not sure the Country teams will have a lot of coin to throw around if and when the comp resumes. This virus will see a number of clubs merge / fold unfortunately and the ones that do survive, will be doing it tough for the next few years. Will be very interesting to see player movement once we eventually get back on deck. Footy as we know it from the top down will be a lot different than we have previously known
