If it was East Freo in this situation, I know that my ethics would make me feel embarrassed and I certainly would be keeping my mouth shut. But that's me!!
WAFL ends this weekend, roll on cricket season.

Who cares , take out Peel and you will still have a nine team comp that's been dominated by two teams, ffs SF took out Swans by 14 goals in a final, what a great advertisement for WAFL footy , no wonder people stay away.

What has turned supporters away is having to watch players playing against the club they were drafted from. Who do you think would have enjoyed watching Nic Naitanui playing for East Perth against Swans? Similarly for other clubs homegrown talent.

Mate you need to get back in the Tardis and go back to the eighties, the WAFL has been in decline fir a couple of decades even before the alignments.

PN what I believe would be good for Wafl footy. Is a Dockers AFL Premiership. A club that's done it tough from day 1.A working class footy club. That will increase player participation and fan participation also. And just boost all footy in Wa.

The WAFL being in decline for a couple of decades would help explain the Dockers overall woefullness during that time after all that is where they get most their players from.

Swan 42: correct; your argument has been proved by Priddis' refusal to play for EP; don't forget though, it works the other way too, as there would be EP supporters whom don't like the idea of Subiaco players wearring their famous navy blue and black jumpers.

Considering Peel won numerous spoons and were on the end of many a thrashing prior to last year I reckon most Peel fan(s) wouldn't give a toss about how they did it.....should the fella who won the speed skating Olympic gold for Aust because he was literally the only one standing at the finishing line be embarrassed for winning?....he won it within the designated rules like Peel have

...the only people who should feel embarrassed about all this are the powers above for letting it happen.....and so far I don't think they care one iota....celebrate Peel fan(s)I say....hopefully under the current guidelines it will be your last....

Priddis didn't want to be humiliated by being dropped to the WAFL. He felt a couple of quite games did not justify being dropped as a Brownlow medalist. I tend to agree with him, and Hijacking it as an alignment issue is fruitless in my opinion.

Plenty of Spoons our way Freezin.Still wouldn't want the Host Club under any circumstances. If the Members lost their head and said otherwise, that'd be it for me with Perth(because then,it wouldn't be us)and I'd be off to Swans.

Of course we wouldn't want it we have over a hundred years of history , while Peel are new to the comp and were in massive debt they are only playing by the rules, this is on the WAFC and the 7 WAFL club presidents that folded like deck of cards and took the money, posters having a crack at Peel and its supporters should be blasting the presidents of their own clubs.

The host club alignment was a decision MADE BY the WAFC. Te G7 WAFL clubs DID NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES have a chance to VETO that decision. Please explain how it can be the G7's fault that we have a host club alignment.

The amount of money the clubs received as compensation was completely independent of the decision to bring back the host club alignment. To assert that the G7 clubs could have vetoed that decision is COMPLETELY WRONG.
