Great to see Peel appointing great local talent as there captains,Gerald Ugle to captain in 2016 to replace Brendon Jones.

Haha I wonder who the next captain of Peel will be or should I say where he will come from haha

Congratulations to Gerald anyway. Being captain at any level is something to be proud of.

weren't Ross Young and Paul Bevan captains for PFC when they were playing?.....don't think they were local products?.....good to see Peel plump for a youngster, instead of a veteran like ROB or Jones I guess......30+ are you miffed because Ugle jumped ship from PFC for Peel and coincidentally started playing some better footy?.....good to see Brendan Jones get to play some finals footy at long last.....reckon Ross Young deserved a chance to show his wares on the finals stage.....unfortunate he didn't get the chance TBH....

TBH im surprised O'Brien wasnt made Captain and as for Ugle's form imo i reckon his form at Perth wasnt to shabby,has he been better at Peel?

Because of Peels alignment imo a local product as Captain would be a much better way of getting the folk in the Peel region on-board.

As for Jones tbh who cares,finals,were they good ones i cant remember anyway good luck to the bloke.

Any opportunity to stick it to Peel

Rory unfortunately didnt join training till late due to East Freo not clearing him

Go through history at each club and analysis how many captains have started their careers at other clubs

For example wasnt Rory captain at East Freo?

Souths captain isnt a local?

Graham Melrose Premiership Captain?

Just to list a few

So do your research before throwing stones people

got no probs with ROB being captain at EF SBD......don't really care where the captain comes from TBH as long as they do a good job.....would rather a 80% local side with a non local captain then the other way round.....I am sure Ugle will do a good job for Peel.....


thought Peel were the sticking point for ROB mate, I heard were more than willing to transfer him for logistic purposes.....just that EF wanted someone for ROB not something.....Winton is a tall defender which EF lack.....hopefully he lives up to and delivers on his potential promise....

Jones' first finals campaign,...which could and should have been a great wafl story considering his games tally and his quality of performance over his career, ... Was an absolute embarrassment of a farce purely due to the alignment. The first final ( which I think he ended up being very dubiously declared " unfit " for ) peel purple had something like TEN debutantes! PATHETIC!
