Amazing game, it is becoming a bit of a concern for me that Glory seems to get scored against in the dying seconds of a game but then Glory have done that to other teams as well. These things happen at all levels I guess it's what makes soccer unique. The penalty shoot out was incredible I think Adelaide were two up with one shot or one save away from ending our season but Liam Reddy stepped up and young Jake Brimmers penalty was clutch then it was all about the goal keepers who were bloody amazing until Joel Chianese broke the deadlock.

Amazing scenes at one stage the ice cool Tony Popovic had his head in his hands but it was absolute delerium by the end of it all. I was out listening on radio and it sounded dull and underwhelming on the radio but really it was a high quality game I thought. Castro was unbelievable and Ikonimidis and Franjic played great games.
I think Adelaide deserve a lot of credit the way they fought back and forced it to penalties. Gee their coach loves the drama doesn't he? Not afraid to show his passion and he wanted to rip the camera man's head off who was filming him addressing his players before the penalty shootout. Talk about high drama. Made for great television. Lol

DD Adelaides German coach had a fall out with the Dutch owners of Adelaide United. He's off on a plane back to Germany today,hes done.

Yes I think that's been on the cards for a while gtr but a couple of A league clubs are on the lookout for a new coach. I think a new Sydney team, Wellington Phoenix, Central Coast....?? He said he has loved his time in Australia and the A League so he might be back in charge of another club yet. He's a real character. I think Melbourne City parted ways with Warren Joyce too.

Well done to the Glory for coming out on top in the end. It was an outstanding game of A league football with Adelaide never giving up. At 2-0 down in the 80th minute and having played 120 minutes just 5 days before they could have easily thrown in the towel but they showed a tremendous amount of team spirit to firstly equalise in the last minute of normal time and then come from behind again in extra time. When Castro missed his penalty in the shootout I thought that they were going to pull it off and it would have been one of the greatest comeback victories in the A league history but luckily for Glory, Liam Reddy had a blinder,saving 4 penalties and even scoring one himself. Great atmosphere and more to look forward to next week.

Wow Sydney have absolutely smashed Melbourne Victory 6-1 so they'll be coming here full of confidence. Ridiculous start time of 4.30pm on Sunday but it is all to do with complications about clashing with the federal election next Saturday and the Champions League commitments Sydney have.
