A bit in shock at the axing of Neil Kilkenny from the Glory squad and announcement by Richard Garcia that Neil Kilkenny won’t be at Glory next year. Garcia has come in as a local Perth born and bred player now head coach determined to promote young local talent which I think has been lacking in the past so from that point of view has probably made the right call. Time will tell as always.
But I think Neil Kilkenny needs to be acknowledged as exactly the type of player we needed when he came into the club mid season, 2018 I think it was under Kenny Lowe. We were an appalling side at keeping possession and used to get absolutely smashed in that department week in week out and he changed that by being the general in the midfield who was confident on the ball and a great organiser and distributor which freed up the likes of Castro, Keogh and Chianese.
I think now Glory are a far better team than when he arrived and he can be proud of his achievements in the purple shirt. Thanks Killa.
