Well the two leaked goals late in the first up win against Adelaide have proven to be a sign of bad things to come.

After coming from 1 nil down to 2 - 1 up against WU we gave up another 4 goals even after scoring another two to lose 5 - 4 then today after going up 1 nil with less than 10 minutes left give up two goals late to hand Victory the victory.

Needless to say we need stronger defence but also Castro to help out Kilkenny. Hopefully the new international recruits being held up by Covid will add strength down back and in midfield.

Well done to the Glory. Now only 6 points behind league leaders CCM with 3 games in hand. Should make finals from here and also give the A League Cup a shake.

The Glory are going alright aren't they BC? Tando Velapi has been the big surprise for me. I never really rated him before he came back to the club but he took his opportunity and did held his own in the Asian Cup Championship and that combined with Glory leaking so many goals in the first few gave him his opportunity and he's taken it with both hands and it seems like it is now his spot to lose.

It's great to see a player who has struggled to hold down a spot in the A league be rewarded for his persistence. I can't see Reddy taking the gloves off him.

Overall it's all coming together nicely with the club well led by the experience of Kilkenny, Castro, Fornaroli and Keogh and the young talent are holding their own led by D'Agostino.

The debut of Japanese international Sukuto Ota was very promising and will help take the pressure off Kilkenny and Castro and there's Ikonomidis on the way back and another experienced international Langchamp I think his name is coming out of quarantine who is a central defender.

The other big difference for me is manager Richard Garcia who it seems the players love to play for. I think he is much more relaxed and attacking than Poppa, possibly less regimented and interesting to note that Poppa has been shown the door by his Greek club already where he was again playing both his sons.

That no doubt caused some feelings of conflict within the squad last year. There is no doubt his kids are talented but FFS let them find their feet on their own merits without the burden that Daddy is handing them a game.

It's the second time Popovic has been sacked by international clubs after jumping ship from his A league club. Be interesting to see where he ends up next.

It's certainly attractive footy to watch. Most games between other clubs are dour uninspiring affairs but not the Glory this year. The experienced players are stepping up and dragging the young kids along for the ride. As you say DD, Langchamp is a very experienced central defender with a heap of games at the top level in Germany so can't wait to see him on the park along with Ikonomides.

Bloody hell don't think I've ever seen Glory absolutely dominated by an opponent as they are tonight against our bogey team Sydney yet find ourselves 1 nil up at half time. Incredible. Sydney should be up 4 nil.

Might still end up a thrashing by the end of the game unless they find some urgency in the midfield.

Sydney eventually got the equaliser as it looked inevitable but Glory did well to hold out for a draw and in fact looked the most likely to win in the end. That stops the 4 game losing streak and hopefully new recruit Jason Guiera will be available for the next match against Newcastle.
