The food group Anchor was founded by Gilbert Wood in 1854.Mr Wood was a mariner who started a shop in Fremantle .And used the Anchor name from his previous occupation.
Anchor have 3 manufacturing facilities in Au.O'Connor Wa,Adelaide +Broken Hill Nsw.The head office in Fremantle Wa.
Anchor employees total allmost 1000 across Australia. And revenue is almost 30m a year.
Since 1880 Anchor have made cordial. Only slightly changing the recipe in the last
decade.They stopped production early December 2019.
Anchor Raspberry Cordial is legendary for its health benefits. Used by travellers to Bali .And by Farmers in the water when live stock had diarrhoea. It has been proven to kill at least 12 different stomach bugs.As well as other health benefits claimed over the years.Sad day today when I found out no more Anchor Cordial.

another example is their Mixed Fruit which has been an ingredient in millions of Fruitcakes over the years as well as their Split Peas in millions of Pea & Ham Soups in many households around this State

Just found out they have also stopped manufacturing AWS-111.The powder form of Raspberry Cordial for the Livestock Farmers. They have had a world wide patent on that since 1985.Maby they have sold it to another company along with the liquid cordial??
