Sensible move imho, too much time is wasted on prosecutions for what is a vastly more benign substance than alcohol. Will allow law inforcment to spend more time on real crimes such as domestic and general violence in the community much of which is cased by real serious drugs like meth and alcohol.

About time, they certainly need some sort of performance enhancers..

1 Is multiple times more carcinogenic than tobacco;
2. Is a confirmed inducer of drug psychosis and paranoia;
3. Impairs psycho motor skill judgement and brings on fatigue quicker than Alcohol;
4. Cannot be efficiently tested roadside in the same manner as Alcohol;
5. There is no calibrated test levels of THC for driving or any effective way of measurement in Australian law;
6. Is no more "natural" a product than tobacco or heroin.

Bad idea.

Medicinal cannabis oil should be legalized everywhere as it is in most states in the US and many other countries. Once you witness the effect cannabis has on cancers without making the patient sick you doubt everything our government has told you. Smoking pot for recreation is different

Spot on DG, it's not a cure but a very effective symptom medication, gets people of the horrendous opioid drugs, especially for people going through chemo and for the treatment of severe epilepsy. Seen a few doco's on families with kids suffering from sever epilepsy, I mean hundreds of fits a month, the oil cuts it back to maybe 2 or 3 per month.
As for comparisons with the most damaging drug of all, alcohol, its no comparison, you dont see stoners coward punching or glassing people, the only injuries they may get are from falling off the couch reaching for the remote of the Timtams.
