I just read that Danny Frawley was killed in a single car accident this afternoon. That's a real tragedy as he seemed like a decent bloke. Good footy player and bit of a larrikin so taken far too young as far as I'm concerned. He leaves behind a wife and 3 daughters. RIP Spud.

Just heard the bad news about Spud Frawley and the car crash.Think where all shocked at this news.Wonderful character in his media career.Fantastic player who stayed loyal to a struggling club.And an AFL coach also to his list of achievements.

Terrible news.

That will hit the industry hard, particularly in Victoria. I wasn’t a big fan of the show Bounce but I find it hard to see how Jason Dunstall, Cameron Mooney and Andrew Gaze can go on that show without him. Seemed like one of the real good blokes of footy. Condolences to his family.

That is an absolute tragedy. How terrible for his family, especially hid wife and daughters.
Like others, I don’t watch Bounce, but I hope they take it off air for a week out of respect for Spud.

I think you’re right Jack. Looking at that car wreck it looked like the engine was in the drivers seat so he must have hit that tree at high speed. There is the real possibility of driver fatigue or distraction but I downloaded the last episode of Bounce from the weekend and typical of the show Jason Dunstall said it’s someone’s birthday today on the panel. He then said we did a whip around at the studio and came up with this cupcake with a single candle in it.

After Danny blew out the candle Dunstall asked “what was your wish?” Spud stared straight at him and said "There's a fair chance you wouldn't want to know about it.” He carried on saying something but i couldn’t make out what he said because boof head Dunstall typically interrupted and spoke over him.

He didn’t look his usual bubbly self tbh.
