Been a lot of talk from the Colin Barnett worshippers in WA about how brilliantly he delivered on the new stadium, and I totally agree - except for one pretty important component. Too small a capacity. Should have been a minimum of 70 thousand, 80 would have been good. Eagles have already outgrown it and we’ve had two rugby games and a few soccer games sell it out.

Not sure I agree Tiger. My experience after the Glory grand final was it’s a pretty pathetic train system. First of all , I had a beer in the bar inside the ground after the game so I didn’t rush out. Was forced to snake around a maze of fences instead of walking straight up the steps to the train station. I needed to go to Perth first.

Then there were two trains on the Perth platform that were packed. Who knows how long they were already sitting there, probably 10 minutes. I squeezed onto one of them. Both trains were sitting there for about 10 minutes going no where until the other trains doors closed and slowly moved away.

We had to sit there for another 10 minutes before we moved away. Just pathetic. Like I said, I didn’t leave the stadium for at least 20 minutes after the game finished.
Get on your bike.

Don't thing I agree, most of the time the Stadium doesn't reach full capacity esp with the dockers.

For mine 60k is just about spot on, yes there are games that sell out, but with the optimum at 60K I say this is spot on.

Also interesting that neither Man U games sold out 50 plus but not sell outs.

There will be a time and need to expand to 70 - 80 in the future I think there is capacity for that.
