Stayed up and watched the Matildas play Brazil. 2 nil down then pegged one back just before half time and scored 2 goals in the second half to snatch the win 3-2. Typically though not without a lot of controversy. The 3rd Australian goal Sam Kerr was clearly offside but because it came off a Brazilian player it was deemed an own goal and Kerr was deemed not to have interferred. Then it looked like an Aussie girl might have brought down a Brazilian in the box in the last minute of the game but wasn't called. Gutsy effort nonetheless to come back from 2 nil down. Could have easily dropped their heads and their tournament would have been over.

Yes they were waxing lyrical about that after the game.....

Seriously though, a great comeback by the Matildas. 2- nil down they looked out of the tournament. Now they need a solid win over Jamaica and they have a real chance of getting through to the next phase
