She is a war criminal deserves to have full weight of the law come down on her in Syria where she reeked havoc and terrorism. She is no longer an Australian citizen.

As she was born in Australia, she is an Australian citizen. Whether she is a dual citizen is another (probably complex) matter.

I haven't seen any reports that she has participated in any fighting, and therefore it would be unlikely she is a "war criminal".

On the other hand, she has almost certainly broken Australian anti-terrorism laws, and should be returned to Oz to face the consequences of that.

Should her children (who are probably entitled to Australian citizenship by descent) be punished for the activities of their mother?

I am not one who believes that Australia should be washing its hands of its citizens (particularly natively born), and passing the problem off to other countries who had nothing to do with their upbringing. And even more so, passing the sins of those adults to their children.

She lost any and all rights to be treated as an Australian citizen when she decided to join up with that butcherous cult. To the contrary, 58 - I have found living out of Australia (and particularly the insular and small town mentality of Perth) has given me a much broader perspective of the real world.

As for the lady in question, were she return to Australia (as is her legal right as a citizen), and once having served whatever time the courts decide, I am sure the multitude of powers granted the law enforcement and intelligence agencies over the past few years will be more than sufficient to prevent her from further illegal activities.

She should be brought home with her kids then immediately have her kids taken off her and be declared unfit to be a mother and declared a terrorist, face the law and forever be placed on a terror watch list.

Surely you jest jack? Our law enforcement can’t prevent an old woman getting smacked about, let alone stop a committed terrorist. And “lady” is the last thing I’d call this b....

Your response seems to suggest you believe the suite of draconian and civil-rights diminishing laws passed since 2013 have been a waste of time.

And that the huge increase in man-power and funding to "anti-terrorist" coppers and spooks has been wasted.

If so, let's repeal most of them, and drag the funds back into more productive areas - such as a real NBN.

Isis had a massive steel cage connected to a crane. They could place 8 people in the cage.Then drop the cage in a swamp drowning all people.Iraq,Syrian+Kurdish forces have not taken Isis prisoners the last few years.All that are left are women+children.In the war zone.
