According to some old time red sox fans, this is the greatest team in their history. Over 100 wins in the regular season, beat some very good teams in the play offs and their batting line up is fearsome

Nowhere near the accumulated memory of long term RS fans, mike, but I have been following them since I was able to get a reasonably consistent internet connection* here in Thailand - around 2010.

They won it in 2013, with a bit of a mix and match team which was good to watch. However this current team has shown a relentless approach, together with a lot of flair from a first year coach (manager) which was a pleasure to view over (for me) probably 100+ of their games (not always in their entirety) this season.

Their current owner (who also owns Liverpool in the EPL) said pretty much the same.

* my fibre to the premises (FTTP) internet here (in the back blocks of Siam {according to BC }) is far superior to what I would be getting if I was camped in my house in Karrinyup, and stuck on the NBN's MTM (Malcolm Turnbulls Mess).
