It's a bold gutsy move to leave a team viewed as the next best and most likely to challenge Mercedes and Ferrari but Red Bull are heading into unchartered waters switching engine manufacturers from Renault to Honda in 2019. Might seem a strange move considering Red Bull were known to be lacking raw power with the Renault engine but at Red Bull even if they find the pace with Honda both he and Verstappen were always closely matched and competing hard against one another.

Now Dan is at a factory team and will be the No 1 driver. When Hamilton left McLaren to go to Mercedes they were languishing in the midfield. It could be a punt that pays dividends and Renault will be throwing everything at it to shove it up Red Bull. Good luck Daniel hope it pays dividends.
