Brilliant stuff to see one of the Aussie boys finally do it and good to see it was Adam Scott who's been knocking on the door with that horrible word "Potential major champion" hanging over his head for quite a few years. Hope he can go on and win a few more and not do a Baker-Finch or like a few other Aussies who end up one major wonders!!

He thought he won it on the 18th in regulation, it was a great reaction with a "Common Aussie" cry but Angel Carbrera is a great golfer and his approach shot was amazing to give him a 1m put to tie. Both players played almost identical shots on both play off holes and were going toe to toe. It was great to see both players play great play off holes and the only difference being Scott's putt went in and Cabrera's just missed.

Adam Scott's putts on the 18th in regulation and on the 10th to win the title were amazing clutch putts, both around 5 - 7m I reckon. Great way to win a major like that. I reckon Jason Day will be the next Aussie to win a major, don't know much about Lieshman but great to see a bunch of young Aussies right up there with the best.

Well done Adam, done Australia proud.

I wouldn't quite put it up there with the America's Cup and I think the Tour de France is such a long event and seen for so many hours over a couple of weeks it probably attracted a bit more attention but the excitement on the 18th green and the two play off holes was hard to top and Adam Scott's reactions on the 18th in regulation and after sinking the winning putt on the 10th were pure raw emotion that we all live to see in sport and it was 100% pure raw emotion. You could just tell how much that meant to him and he knew how much that meant to Australia.

Let's also not forget there were 3 Aussies in the top 4, Scott the winner, Jason Day outright 3rd and Marc Leishman equal 4th with Tiger Woods. Have the Aussies ever figured so well in the US Masters? Now the monkey is off the back hopefully it will inspire them to perhaps go on and dominate the majors over the next 20 years and inspire a new wave of young golfers like Greg Norman did!
