Got absolutely nothing to do with cheating the suspensions are about sponsors and dollars soon as Quantas chief said he'll be watching the out come closely it was inevitable CA would come down hard., I'm with you BH absolute joke .

Smith should of thrown Bancroft under the bus he would of got off like just about every other ball tampered, ithat media conference ten minutes after the days play was badly handled .

Seems disproportionate. Did the Icc not give Smith a one test ban?

I have seen less time for manslaughter in our courts this is a game of cricket FFS.
Yeah they were naughty boys, broke the rules and got caught ball tampering as the likes of DuPlessis, Philander, Atherton, Waqar Younis, Dravid & Sachin Tendulkar have all been found guilty of.
Hit them were it really hurts in the hip pocket and im not talking the usual $10k fine either along with any leadership responsibilities now and for the rest of their career!

So what have you got to say for yourself now BH?

A complete and utter knee jerk over reaction from CA with these ridiculous suspensions just to appease the moronic mass media and the general public most who not only have no idea about cricket or sport in general but have no idea that ball tampering is common place in world cricket and the rest of the cricketing world are laughing themselves silly is my response BC!

Freezin picked it, sporting journos like Townsend were calling for it, ex players wanted long suspensions...seems like the only one who didn't was.................you!

Does their sanctimony validate the penalty and what is wrong with having a contrary viewpoint?

I feel really sorry for Cam. This incident proves that bullying isn’t confined to the classroom.

yes and nothing except that view point is clearly wrong. it's now been revealed by virtue of the CA report the tape was in fact sand paper and Warner gave Bancroft instruction on how to do it....who in the fu*k carries sand paper in their cricket kit?... game over...case closed.

Of course it is Anchor it is rife in world cricket anyone who follows the game knows it how on earth do you think sides get reverse swing especially the likes of SA from the likes of 2 time convicted ball tamperer Philander and Rabada after only 18 overs!
CA have been totally sucked in with this knee jerk response and reaction whilst the rest of the cricketing world will go on doing the same as!

so based on your comments Aussie Olympians should be taking PED's because the Russians, East Germans, Chinese, various yanks and several others have been doing it? Australian TDF cyclists should be doing likewise because the greatest of all time Lace Armstrong was a serial cheat? your logic is nonsense.

Sounds like operating sand paper is not easy - what does it say about Bancroft if Warner has to explain how to use it? That aside what does it matter if they used sand paper, a zipper, minties, finger nails or teeth? Ordinarily if a fielder is found to be guilty of ball-tampering a five run penalty is awarded to the batting side, and the ball is immediately replaced, they receive a fine and possibly a suspension.

The ICC banned Smith for one test match and he was fined 100% of his match fee, while Bancroft was fined 75% of his match fee.

Correct Ti Em Smith has been the ONLY player suspended for a Test match for ball tampering by the ICC all the others and there are over 20 cases have received a fine or in Shahid Afridi's biting the ball case missed 2 x T20 Internationals.
Smith has also been stripped of the Captaincy, substantially fined, lost personal sponsors and then on top of that given this way over the top 12 month ban by a spooked CA. This has been blown way out of proportion for the actual action that has taken place sheesh.
