Forget this mickey mouse T20 tri - series, the next major cricketing event is the test matches starting in South Africa in a few weeks. All of a sudden, there is a window of opportunity for the Aussies as the Proteas have two key players, Du Plessis and De Kock injured and in doubt for the first test. Also they have made a guy called Markham captain of the ODI team that is currently being pumped by India, even though Amla and De villiers are both playing. Make no mistake they are still a very powerful team, particularly with their bowling attack, but they are just looking a little vulnerable at the moment and if Australia can start the series on a positive note, we will be very competitive. Obviously much will depend on how the batsmen cope with the pace of Morkel, Rabada etc as I am confident our attack will test their batsmen. I am totally confused why Warner is playing 20/20 cricket at the moment when what he really needs to get his form and confidence back is a red ball hit out. He should be playing shield cricket this weekend.
