2 of us caught the train from Perth station, another from north and the fourth from south for the BBL. Good directions from staff there and at the stadium arrival. Getting home for the 4 of us was trial and error but once bedded down will be pretty good. Could people getting on the trains please move down the aisle? Sheez.

The walk from the train station to the gate was on concrete. And I mean concrete everywhere. Bloody hot. It’s going to be a swimming pool come winter. Are they going to put up covered walk ways to the gates?

Got there an hour and a half early to have a good walk around. Level one good but level three had too many no go areas and dead ends.

You need a compass to navigate. There is nothing to distinguish where you are in the stadium. It’s like an apple cut in half, both the same! It would be better if one of the scoreboards was different as to know east from west.

Put some maps on the concourse walls so we can work out where to go plus showing the no go areas.
Level 2 and 4 a bloody mystery!!

Give us a full map of the stadium at entry, and not the pathetic map that ticket master have, showing us where everything is. Bars, the sports bar, fresco's, lifts, escalators, etc.

Did a round of the bars, some not the best viewing but I suppose they are to be meeting spots for people b4 the game. Good vista areas overlooking the hills and the city. The beer we rated at 3.5/5. Best value food was a pie with sauce and the fish and chips. The rest is overvalued paper mache. $18 for a cold hamburger and chips. Never again.

The stadium inside lacks character. Except for the sails, there isn’t anything iconicly West Australian about this place. It looks like all the money for that was spent on the outside.

Our row was packed like sardines against the concrete buttresses on level 3. Cannot walk down the stairs from level 5 because of full glass enclosure. Doesn’t let the breeze thru. If you can, get seats in a row with aisles on both sides to make it easier for those getting drinks and such.

If you’re in the sun bring some suncream. Maybe SunSmart could get involved to have some suncream stations for those on the east side.
.
The best seats are level one and the lower parts of level three, west side. Level one still gives that intimacy of the WACA and Subi, where as lower three enough height to give a full picture of the oval.

Noticed a lot of the sponsors boxes empty. Not all sold yet??

Did I hear right, that on present expectations, the stadium will pay for itself in 2 years?
If so one in the eye for all the naysayers.

so im guessing the MCG, Etihad, Adelaide Oval & Anz Stadium must be horrible because they have concrete outside the stadium as well? What a uneducated post this is.
