Did anyone else get along to the new Stadium Open Day?
Very impressed by it all. Was easy to get to via the train.
The playgrounds, boardwalk, ovals and new Camfield pub look the goods, even though they have a bit of work to do to finish the pub before the footy season kicks off.
Can see plety of punters getting a pass out to get a full strength beer at halftime of the footy or ducking out during a days play at the cricket.
Inside I thought the stadium was very similar to Ethihad stadium, just bigger and better! Plenty of space on the Level 1 concourse which you can walk around the whole stadium uninterupred. Lots of food and beverage outlets and toilets available
Had look at a few different seats and dont think you'll find a bad one, certainly not like some of the interupted view (massive pole in your way) seats at Subi or the WACA.
The two massive screens and sound system were very impressive and the oval lighting and coloured roof lighting will be a highlight at all of the night games.
Cant wait to get along to the ODI on Sunday with a sell out crowd and hopefully get tickets to the Scorchers BBL semi-final.
Don't think it will be long before the stadium capacity is increased, noticed 2 full rows of seats at the top of the first tier that are yet to have seats installed that should add another 2000-3000 seats

Yes was very impressed. It felt like the MCG but with the open spaces and easy access to walk around like Etihad does. Was very impressed with the amount of food and bathroom facilities that were around. Hopefully this means no longer missing a quarter to go for a leak or to grab something to eat haha.

haha yep Subi was a nightmare if you needed a leak and grab a beer or some food during the match.

Optus Stadium has a phone app that you are going to be able to pre-order food & drink from your seat so should make the process even quicker again.

I did not know about the app. Should be good.
