I don't think they're actors a/man but agree they would have received something to appear in the ads. There is an element of truth in the message as the bulk of banks profits are distributed to shareholders in the form of dividends and most super funds would have bank shares...but yes I do agree it's taking a very simplistic approach as there would be many offshore shareholders getting the benefit as well.

Shows how desperate they are A/m. Who the farrk can afford to buy bank shares? If one of them starts throwing some coin behind my football club I might say something favorable about them. In my recent experience I was stuffed around and strung along by the Commonwealth recently for 3 and a half weeks only to have my home loan application rejected. Thankfully I got finance in the end (not from a bank) to purchase my home. Their lending criteria is quite ridiculous and completely out of touch. Bring on the Royal Commission.

I'm not defending the banks here as I think they're blood sucking parasites but the lending criteria has got tougher due to the downturn after the mining boom in WA resulting in payment defaults by mortgagees and subsequent foreclosures. In the east it's more about skyrocketing house prices causing potential owners to over borrow and leaving the banks exposed.
