Totally agree mikeh....chasing 170-180 mentally is easier than 210....thus not sure how Wade gets MOM over McDermott....71 off 45 gave Hobart a great start...but Wade was gone by the 13th with the score on 120.... McDermott hits 67 off 33/34 deliveries and gets Hobart from 180 to 210... obviously irrelevant in the end who gets MOM..but for me McDemott went from 6 off 7 to 67 off 33/34.....60 off 26/27 deliveries to take Hobart out of reach....

thought Bresnan was great, yeah one expensive over but did well in his other 3 overs, scored runs and made some great saves in the field.....Kelly looked again bowling when Christian and McDermott were going crazy....and Richardson all bar one over bowled tightly and with zip

In contrast to last nights lop sided final, it was a great game in Adelaide tonight, decided on the last ball. Adelaide kept their nerve in the last 3 or 4 overs when Pollard was threatening to smash the Renegades to victory. Travis Head took some risks with his bowling changes and field placements and he came out on top (just). I assume he won't be available for the final on Sunday as well as Rashid who is on international duty for Afghanistan. Great chance for the Hurricanes to win a maiden title.

Yeh, good luck to the Canes mike. They were awesome against us, but they’ll do well if they can repeat that performance. Hope they didn’t play their gf too early.

The Strikers for me because apart from being black & blue, Trevor Laughlin hinted at the end that West Aussie Liam O'Connor could come in to replace Rashid.

agree a/man...I hope the powers that be think about international schedules in future as with Agar and Tye available plus throw Berendorf and Coulter-Nile into that team and the Scorchers would have been unbeatable imo.

Reading the Financial Review dated 20/1/2018.BBL 1 to 6 Cricket Australia gave the broadcast rights to Channel 10 for 20 million a year. With the deal that CH10 help grow and promote the game.Which most people would think they have done a pretty good job.
It is believed Foxtel are willing to offer 80 million a year for next years BBL.And a dedicated Foxtel Cricket Channel. Its unclear who will be there free to air partner ATM.Guessing Channel 9.

Congrats to the Strikers on their 2017/18 win....even better considering their top 2 bowlers didn't play in Khan and Stanlake... Can anyone tell me what is it with Paine and the short form?....Wade hits a 70 v Scorchers opening yet gets demoted to number six for the final...Paine opens with Short?.... surely Wade and Short would/should open chasing 200 odd?....wonder who was responsible for that tactical blunder......oh well too late now

Bailey wanted the glory. He also stuffed it as Archer looked injured last match when he bowled poorly. Got smashed today & bowled erractic.. Wade got them there last match & looked likely to bat around number 7 as Bailey wanted a Left & Right combo.. Piss weak after 6 overs when Bailey closed the shop but his bowlers bowled shit & got WEATHERED (9 fours + 8 sixes)
Now is the time to dumped worn out hacks starting with Bailey, Paine, White, Hodge, Hogg& Klinger for a start..
The finds were Darcy Short, Stanlake & Carey (brilliant)

Agree, very strange tactics by the Hurricanes. I was amazed they didn't play Boyce as their fast guys were cannon fodder. Then dropping Wade down the order was just inexplicable, he was the in form player at the top of the order. The game was gone by the time he came in and you could see he was less than impressed with the tactic. Young WA bowler Liam O'Connor did a brilliant job as a replacement for Rashid. Weatherald is a future white ball Australian player I reckon.

They out thought themselves....To me it looked like they wanted a left and right hander at the crease together, and with Short opening it pushed Wade down the order.....Dumb tactic. bat your best batters at the top of the order and give them the most balls to win the game.

Well done Strikers
