I was reading about the "Shredding" process of losing so much weight in a small amount of time, They reckon this hurts boxers as they get older. Surely the human body isn't meant to loose that weight so quickly, then put it back on just as quickly for the fight

It's a disgraceful "sport" if you can call it that and agree with the AMA and it should be banned.

AM, I saw some of the fight this morning when I watched the replay. Yes a very good fight and it fixes horn up for a big payday.
I must admit its better to watch fights like that where both boxers walk at each other compared to fights where both boxers want to punch and move to not get tagged in return.
BC, while you may not like the sport, and your entitled to your opinion around that, one must respect the athletes that get involved with boxing. These guys are super fit.........

I was in the USA when he won his first fight against Manny, and the howls around the pub in Las Vegas were all about home town judging. As I took their money off them I reminded them all then that the judges were all from the USA. The cards for this fight reflect what happened I reckon, Horn was on top in every round and if he had some luck or maybe didn't have to shred so much weight before the fifth he may have won easily before the 11th round.

As for his next fight, this is where boxing is a funny sport. One would think the most money would be there to fight Terrence Crawford, unify the title belts and get it onto the big stage in Vegas, however fox sports is saying Horn will get about 1 million for that fight and about 2 million to fight Mundine.

I reckon most people would take more money to fight a has been rather than someone rated in the best boxers in the world.

Yes the young lad from WA looked good, however he needs to continue to train hard and not let a good result go to his head. Its a brutal sport and the moment you think you have mastered it is the moment you get beat up
