I see part of the many changes in the new media laws is that anti syphon laws will be relaxed, this I am sure will mean more sport will move to pay TV, does anyone have more detail on this?

Noticed that Amazon could be interested in TV rights when it comes up for bidding in about 2022. This would KILL free to air football.

it is not good all -- capitalism tends towards monopoly if government does not regulate it.

One can only hope that Channel 10's new owner is CBS and not Murdoch. It would be an absolute disgrace if Murdoch got his hands on Channel 10.

Exactly AR. Big business and corporations are only interested in making money. Current gas pricing in Australia is a classic example. Many people currently access sport on pay tv. Which could easily simply be extended if we are not careful.

Didnt they have a stake in it before? What difference would it make if Murdoch owned it or CBS? Hardly anyone watches it now which is why its bust.
