Surely Swepson must get first dibs before SOK?...Lehmann et al do some strange decisions at time...cant believe these guys had a leg to stand on when looking for a better pay deal....most of them would of been fired by now in the real world....

Looks like they may play 3 spinners and SOK will get promoted over Swepson, if not why the hell would he be going over there? Makes little sense to me but nothing would surprise me with these selectors. Also I think they may replace Maxwell with Cartwright so that he can provide some medium pace back up for Cummins and take the shine off the new ball. Looks like Bird won't get a look in.

What is Warner doing calling that the best innings he has played? I am sure he was dropped at one point. Besides, has he forgotten that innings he played against NZ where he carried his bat? If he had done that in East Pakistan, we would have won the test.

Well he was there in the middle, and I guess he is in the best position to judge.

not an all, because he is less likely to be ojecrive on the question. Very few people carry their bat through an innings in a test match. If he talks up his effort the other day, he can distract from the fact that he got out and cost us the test -- that also applies to the captain.

Bit unfair there, AR.

Warner scored 112 - the rest of the team scored 5;1;37;15;14;4;2;33;12;0, respectively. Total 132.

Besides Smith, Cummins and Lyon, ther other 7 could have added 3 runs each to their scores - which would have meant victory.

jack: your probably right, but only a little. Do you remember what all cricketers say? 'If you get in, make sure you get the runs'

watching the first day of the second test. From the looks of conditions, slow an low with a slow outfield 260 would again be a solid first innings score. More like 320 in England and Australia.

Couldnt believe the selectors picked O'Keefe for this Test after he wasnt even selected in the original touring party whilst the young leggie Swepson mixes and delivers the cordial yet again and Maxwell & Wade given another reprieve after poor output in the 1st Test.
Thank fark Gary the Goat has taken a 5 for so far on day 1 otherwise we might be in deep poop already in the 2nd Test.
We better hope our fast bowlers can knock over the Poms relatively cheaply in the upcoming Ashes as our batting line up doesnt look that capable of scoring much more than 300 tbh especially if Warner & Smith fail!
