Being a Dockers supporter I don't mind saying well done Eagles on knocking off the top side to make the finals and knocking out a Victorian club in the process. Historically it's a fitting farewell to Subiaco Oval. Good luck against Port Adelaide who you knocked off in Adelaide earlier in the year.

More than likely extended their season by a week but as you said they play Adelaide Oval pretty well and they would rather be there than playing Sydney in Sydney which is Essendon's lot.
Adelaide were pretty limp and even though they had a few players missing and had no incentive to win, you don't flirt with form and they may find the last few weeks may come back to bite them on the bum in the finals.

Well sort of but more than case of thanks Melbourne for mine, a win today fair enough , but the fact remains of Melbourne had not fucked up they wouldnt made it, thems the breaks I guess...get another week, for mine, what did the crows have to play for today? No Tex or Tahlia either...

I think most Eagles supporters are aware of that Baz, but for mine, in a season that has been very disappointing, it is something positive to finish the season with.

Not sure Don Pyke would be that happy going into a final losing his last 2 games.
He would have been looking for an Adelaide win today don't worry about that.
As for Melbiurne well they just don't deserve to play finals both them and the Eagles had to win this weekend they failed.
The season is full of "what if" games that's footy,it's not over till the fat lady sings.

Out of Sydney or Port most WCE fans would surely feel more hopeful playing the latter next week....would love to see Essendon roll Sydney too....

Yep,I think there record at Adelaide Oval is good but that record goes out the window come finals

Watching Essendon today , they looked like they struggled against Dockersin Melb.. take some sort of miracle to beat the Swans who look like a jugernaught at mo, saying all that this weeke nd threw up some weird results...

I'd put my dough on Sydney for the big one. It'd be a momentous achievement given their start to the season. If so, must put Horse up there as one of the greatest coaches in the AFL.

With Kennedy so well held. Noone would think the Eagles could beat the minor Premiers by 19 points+.So many good contributions access field.Sam Mitchell what a fantastic game he played.Jetta and Darling finished off with the last 2 goals.
