Recommend everyone reads this. What a story and what a great young kid. He's a credit to himself. Sadly neither of the two West Australian clubs picked him when they could have. Freo picked up Griffen Logue at pick 8 and has already shown his potential but what's happened to the Eagles first pick at pick 13 Daniel Venables? Injured or not up to it yet?

Fremantle needed key position players but the Eagles could do with a SPP.

Great read, very inspirational

Amazing to think with all the research clubs put into player profiling etc how and why Freo and WCE overlooked SPP....surely his strength of character is what coaches look for these days....someone who can stand tall when needed.....regardless what is thrown at them.....

Obviously as SPP presence grows with his footy, his life experiences can keep him well grounded when fame and fortune can lead some kids to make poor choices....more so the hanger ons around them
