Anchor, the Blues had them on toast in the first half especially with Thurston carrying a shoulder, but as they have done many times the experience of the Qld boys came to the for and they dominated the 2nd half. How tough is Thurston, the Blues targeted him in the 2nd half with some massive hits but he just brushed it off and got on with it, he was really hurt but then cool as a cucumber he ices the game with a conversion from the sidelines.

The Blues 2nd half tactics were appalling where they seemed content to protect the lead instead of continuing to attack, which opened up the chance for the maroons and they took it. Game 3 should be epic.
