Ch 9 are losing a mint on its sports coverage, I find it highly unlikely they would pick up WAFL and there appears to be a shortage of big sponsors out there with VB and Commonwealth Bank cutting back, lets hope Maccas hangs in on WAFL.

If I'm not mistaken, thought I heard Bill had retired, leaving Chappelli the only one left of the old crew.I say old crew, because Ian wasn't quite an original, starting full time in 1980,

As for the WAFL,you can praise 7 all you want mate, but what's their real motivation for covering us?

If 7 pull out ...what's you plan?

I don't have an answer for that, I just watch the game. I'm happy to watch it on any channel as long as its on!

Cricket is on the nose nowhere near the popularity it used to command - it aint got the dazzle of the US paysports

As an aside - I was filthy to see the alignment wankers get another televised game together this week , second time in 7 rounds if you remember the first game of the year
Paying for these two arseholes to get gametime ffs

Yeah, traditional format struggling, ODI as well ratings collapsed - just not got the viewers anymore.

Yep I picked that up on the schedule early. SF had the most broadcasts last year I think.

Give it to Ten.

It'd give Tiny Tim and Lichee something to do in the Winter months and given their Subi/West Perth Rivalry, they would probably Stoke a better promotional fire than 7 would.

Ten would never pick it up given they are losing money hand over fist, they are about to go bust anyway.

Ch 10 need an urgent credit extension to keep broadcasting past December this year, sounds like they might not get it.

The Commission should have enough of our Stolen Draft money to cover a Camera or 2,a couple if commentators for 23 Rounds a Season plus State Game and Finals.

Ch 44? what the fark is that? would they have enough OB Gear to even cover the game?

Needs a $1 million sponsor plus what the WAFC put in, what sponsor would pay $1 Mill for exposure on Ch 44??

I did a bit of a comparison to the old WAFL coverage from years ago and they definitely used to zoom in on the play much more and for me that made the coverage more enjoyable.

Well said LH...it is actually a poor standard coverage considering the money we are actually paying for it!

I am generally at the games so obviously can't watch it live and don't have an HD recorder so my comments are based on the limited amount I have seen. You are right about the camera work it is almost impossible to distinguish the players most of the time.
