Sam continues to develop as an AFL footballer. Very impressed with his performance for the Cats today. He is physically strong, has a good turn of pace and his kicking skills are excellent. A far cry from when he was a fringe player at Freo. Maybe he just wasn't ready 3 or 4 years ago or perhaps he was being used in the wrong role. I remember he also had a few injuries when he was with the Dockers. He certainly dominated the WAFL during the season he played for Subiaco.

The only downside of todays effort was that he was reported for a sling tackle although he may get away with it because his opponents head didn't hit the ground.

Hawthorne were too strong when Menagola got drafted their...whilst Lyon killed Menagola at Freo with his negative view of Menagola's aerobic capacity

Lyon pigeon holed Mena into a run with role which didn't suit him. Schofield released him into the midfield to use his huge tank and it was the making of him. Really pleased to see him doing well and hopefully will come back to Subi when his AFL time is up.

Be nice if he came home to EF BC ...looks like he won't be coming back for a good wee while....good luck to the guy....how is his brother Nick doing at Subi?
