 Did the work at colts and went home to join two mates at the Blues and Roots.

Deal with the crap first. Robert Plant was absolutely pathetic and a disgrace! Surely someone saw the gig before he subjected a large audience to what can only be described as self absorbed rubbish. A fair proportion of the crowd either left or went back to the bar to drown the sound out.

First 10 minutes of SQ started out being pathetic :cheer: But the next 25 - 30 minutes was classic rock and roll. The two originals just played their hearts out with the support players doing great, seriously worth the admission as one mate said but he also buys at that crap shop so .......!

Susan Tedeschi and the Trucks band were for me the the best musically of the whole day. Just pure classic rock/blues/country sounds that blew the audience away, bloody brilliant.

Chris Isaak, this bloke is just entertaining and talented and had the crowd by the short and curly's for the whole set, old stuff, new stuff and it was made better by the young woman in the red dress doin' her thaing' (gotta remember that feeling again mmmmm oops passed without ... ). He was and would be worth seeing anywhere!

Russell Morris still is the real thing, great new songs and the did the 'Real Thing' and the big top went off.

Iggy was Iggy!

The other bands were good and worth watch especially Newton Faulkner.

Great day, without Plant, couple of Fat Yaks, mates went through a couple of Dirty Grannies (ciders), trip home was bad for one mate and good for the other , WCE and Dockers supporters, me I was stoked (old term that) .
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

My workmate went and she agrees with you about Plant. And yes, they pulled stumps on him and went to the bar.
The reviewer in the Worst Australian made him out to be the second coming. Shame that all those trees had to die so a newspaper lackey could brown nose.

I went to a Blues and Rorts Festival about 3 years ago when the moved it to the Freo Park for the first time, and it absolutley shithouse, way overcrowded, stuff all catering and crap music. Hopefully they have improved since then.

Yes I went to the first one. Crowded House were the main act. Not only was it stinking hot but there was no shade at all and you're right, far too packed and hard to get a drink or a feed. I said at the time I would never go back there but I went last year to see John Fogerty. It seemed a lot better but they ran out of beer about 8.30.
