I understand the romantics of having unique cricketing pitches in each of the nations , but you can't have a plod of underprepared mud like that rubbish in an International fixture

That's not ability there that's influence of a pitch - nowhere near the end of the second day & that's 20 wickets already

ICC are fleas

So are those MARSHmellows..

Is anyone else sick and tired of the way the Indians carry on appealing for every bloody ball regardless if its hit the pad, bat, where it has pitched, hit in line or not....not too mention Kohli's continual asking the umpires for an explanation for each appeal turned down.
Richie Benaud would be turning in his grave at this appalling on field behaviour not too mention 42! ;)

Well what do we all know about cricket? Not a person on this earth would have put money on the Aussies being 300 in front with 6 wickets in hand at the end of day 2 after being where they were at 9 -205 on day 1.

In a perverse way the Indians may have shot themselves in the foot in this game by producing a complete raging turner such as what this wicket is. It has actually bought guys like O'Keeffe and Lyon into the game. They have just turned the ball enough to pose a threat to the batsmen whereas perhaps Ashwin and Jadeja were getting too much. Many of the Indian spinners deliveries turned so much that they were wide of the stumps and therefore not much threat to the batsmen even though they looked good.

The Aussies showed spade loads of application in the 2nd innings. Give some credit to Mitch Marsh who hung in doggedly with Smith in the last part of the day. Renshaw is an outstanding young batsman who showed a ton of grit and determination to bat though illness in both innings.

It would be great if the Aussies could add another 102 tomorrow to bring the lead up to 400. However you cannot rule the Indians out of this match given the presence of Kohli and his capacity to score runs on any type of pitch.

That isn't a Test standard wicket and it will dictate the result rather than the players using it
Surely at some point the fleabags in the ICC will instill a code of minimum grass cover on pitches as a standard , drop in pitches have got to be implemented in these cases

I would suggest this Test is far from over just yet boys.
I have seen us lose Tests in India from even stronger positions than current one each from in the 2001 & 2005 series immediately spring to mind. :pinch:
I will not be surprised one iota if Kohli pulled a big one out of the bag in the second dig.

I reckon these 49 overs today will tell it all , have they been foxing , is it possible for the bowlers to do it again , is that pitch suddenly going to become good to bat on like other mysterious Indian ground happenings

Smith is in unbelievable form - near 5000 runs at 60 geez
