Checked out the progress at Lathlain this morning and its a hive of activity with workers and machinery everywhere. I hadn't seen it since the end of last season so it was funny to see the place without any raised banks. I had a close look at the main oval and its still very patchy and sandy. The first game there is scheduled for April 1st, about 9 weeks. A lot of work to do to get the ground ready for that date. I'm sure Perth FC have a plan B in case there are delays. For the Perth guys on here, has the club given you any information on whether things are on track? Also where are the Perth boys doing their pre-season?

Good to see you both taking an interest. The April 1st game will more than likely be switched to Claremont oval. If that is ready.

Cesspit i doubt that our club would hand our home ground advantage and gift it to Claremont.

No,i reckon a neutral ground would be the most likely and as Swans are playing away that day id have no probelm playing there.
Plus we would have already played at Basso in round 1 so win lose or draw that one it would only stand us in good stead for the round 3 clash V Claremont.

The surface got stuffed up and had to be relayed, hence the delay.

No 30Plus, I'm not suggesting we give them our home game, just a swap so as the return game set down for Claremont oval later in the season would then be played at Lathlain.

Been watching every day on the way to work

and WOW Claremont is coming on a TREAT, the stand looks great and bigger than I expected, and the seats are already installed - Blue and Gold of course...

Entire seating area is covered, which is huge and will easily be the biggest stand in WAFL.
